I hope your little one gets to see whoever she wants on the VMAs. I'd much rather see parents and children watching things together and discussing possible controversial things than to have a parent say no, you can't see that and that's that.

Usually the VMA's are on Thursday, the second day of school, but I guess it's on a week earlier this year so I don't have to worry about homework or anything. I remember 2 years ago, my friend and I had to type reports that day and it was kinda hard bc we were also trying to watch the VMA's. I don't have anything else to do today, so hopefully I won't forget to watch.

My RA gets to go to the VMAs tonight! Grr, I'm jealous. Our cable isn't working yet so we're going to go to a film screening and hope to catch the VMAs in reruns, which I'm sure we will, considering it's MTV.

Eminem.. he is a funny little guy.. I have to say I crack up over his new video.. I can't seem to quit bopping my head around to the music.. I am old too..
There is always a debate about MTV at our house as I REALLY do not like my 12.5 dd to watch about 3/4 of its programing. Usually her dad, older brother or I have to be in the room when it is on so we can decide what to censor.. yup ya gotta be quick with the clicker.. Also MTV does bring up quite a few discussion topics at our home. So I am grateful for the opportunities that it brings up to discuss such topics as racism, womanizing, public sexual conduct etc..
