We ate at Ohana last week and got Tonga Toast. There was a $5 surcharge per piece.

We wanted to have bfast with Lilo and Stitch, but wanted Tonga Toast also. I knew we wouldn't have time to eat at Kona. I asked the server if we could get Tonga toast, she said yes but there was a $5 per peice surcharge. It was a good as I remembered from years ago. We got 2 pieces to spilt among 4 adults and we would have been better off getting only 1 piece. There was so much food by the time the "toast" came, as it took some time to get. I wasn't sure if I could eat my share. But don't dispair my friends, I hunkered down and enjoyed it

That is great to know! When we ate at Ohana we were able to get the pressed pot of coffee from Kona

Why would you go to one restaurant and ask for things from another restaurant? Why not just go to Kona if everyone wants what they serve?

???????

That's crazy, I can't possibly think why they would have a surcharge just for that. We are going there for dinner on our upcoming trip, I wonder if there is any other surcharges there. Did they state that somewhere or did you just happen to find out when the bill came?

Isn't tonga toast only on the menu at Kona? I haven't seen it on the menu at Ohana so I can understand why there'd be a surcharge since they are getting it from another restaurants kitchen.

This is correct. Tonga toast is NOT a part of the Ohana breakfast and hence the extra charge.

Boy did I miss that one when I replied to the post....boy do I feel stupid now. Thank goodness though :goodvibes

I should have explained it better. Sorry!

no characters at Kona, I guess. Now people don't have to forego the character breakfast to get the toast. I don't like it myself, too sweet and greasy, but it appears to be that much of a hit that Disney thinks it can make extra cash letting Ohana diners get some.

It is banana stuffed french toast that is deep fried and served with strawberry sauce on the side. Or heaven on a plate :)

That's a great option for Tonga Toast fans!

My world just got a little bit better, I have this problem every year. the kids want Lilo and I want Tonga. Now we can all be happy:worship: :worship: :worship:
