Has anybody done this before? If so, was it worth it? Were you able to hear the music? Was the view worth it?

We did the Dessert Party in April 2010 and enjoyed it. There was a great selection of desserts to chose from. It was nice to have reserved seating to enjoy the fireworks from. They do pipe in the music. You don't have the best view of the parade but the fireworks is awesome.

It was a really great way to relax and end our trip. The kids loved the chocolate covered strawberries! There was a photopass photographer so we got some great shots throughout the evening.

The only negative that I personally found was that the Dessert Party overlooks the smoking area and we had a breeze that night so did get cigarette smoke come our way which did impact our enjoyment - if not for the cigarette smell coming up, the night would have been perfect.

Remember that Tomorrowland Terraced is roofed but open-sided. You hear everything.

We went in 2010 and again in 2011. The view of Magic, Memories & You and the fireworks were definitely worth it. The view of the parade, though, is pretty much non-existant; if that is a deal-breaker for your group then I would not recommend the Dessert Party.

The desserts tend towards fancy tarts, chocolate-covered strawberries, etc, and the drinks are coffee, iced tea, milk, and lemonade. Again, if you have kids and they really want a big ice cream cone an a soda pop, you'd be better off getting goodies on Main Street and watching from there. We had no kids in the group on either trip and absolutely loved it; even had a decent view sitting down, although some people do stand and move up to the railing.

We did the dessert party last summer and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a special treat since we've been to WDW so many times and are always on the lookout for something new. The desserts were plentiful and quite good (hint: don't eat a big dinner before you go. Maybe book a good lunch and save up for the desserts!) Our table was down on the lower tier and we could see the fireworks perfectly--and Tinkerbell flew right over us! I agree with the pp that seeing the parade was out of the question--too many people lined up on the sidewalk. We would probably do it again if we got the urge. No regrets.

We did it in Nov 09, click on my thread for tons of pictures

Would I do it again? Maybe but only on a party night when the crowds are lower...we were there 2 weeks ago and were shocked to see how busy the dessery party was.

If you do it make sure you do not eat a large dinner otherwise you will not get your monies worth

Thank you so much for the feedback! The parades aren't as big of a deal then the fireworks are. We plan on 2 days at MK so one of the days we'll hit up the dessert party.

Nicki, those were great pics! It's nice seeing the selection and wow, there's a lot!!

I'll be switching my plans around for it and take the advance that several of you mentioned- eating a big lunch!

Thank you so very much everyone!

We enjoyed the Dessert party. However, since DD is not a dessert person, we probably won't do it again. The view of the fireworks was amazing. They did run out of some desserts the night we went, please while we were watching the fireworks the whole buffet was cleaned up as was our table. Most guest were standing to watch the fireworks, not at the tables. When we got back to our table all the food was gone.
