Tomorrowland Terrace Cafe- TS

I don't know if this has been posted yet, but I haven't seen it. I called WDW dining today to try and get a TS dinner for MK 9/16, but every restaurant I asked for was booked solid. The CM then asked, "Are you trying to get a TS in the MK?" I said yes, or somewhere around there. She then asked me "How about the Tomorrowland Terrace Cafe, it's a buffet in the MK and offers Asian and...." I said "No, thank you", but I filed it away in my "must report on the DIS..." mental file. I know it was offered last year during free dining too but I think I read that you could not make an ADR for it. It seems that you can this year (although I didn't specifically ask the CM, she did offer it to me when I was trying to make an ADR, so...) Just thought it might be an option for those who haven't been able to get anything in MK. HTH!

We were there Aug 31st-Sep 4th, that restaurant was closed. It is also a CS not a TS when it is open. The Plaza is nearby and is a TS that does not take ADRs. So you if you select a good time (certainly not around parade times) you can probably eat there. Lots of outdoor seating there and you could also walk over to the TTCafe area and sit as there is plenty of seating there and its empty.

Personally I think the TS options in MK as few and no very compelling. I would stretch my options to anything you can reach by the monorail or boat launches.

the plaza *does* take ADRs... we had one for our last trip but cancelled it the day before when we scored HDDR ADRs instead!

also, although the Tomorrowland Terrace is typically a CS restaurant last year (and apparently this year according to the OP) it becomes a TS buffet during Free Dining to give more choices to those guests who are unable to find TS ADRs or walk-ins due to lack of pre-planning or change in plans or not knowing they need to plan!
