Tomorrowland question....

On top of the Tomorrowland Landing store is a big rotating-sometimes, satelite looking thing, what is it, did it used to be part of a ride or something. I know its decor but it looks like it used to be decor of a ride

It was a ride called Rocket Jets, the ride is similar to astro orbiter.

Close. that hideous eyesore is in the place of the old rocket jets. (Same concept as the astro orbiter but up much higher. It made it more of a thrill ride.)

That thing was put up there as decoration when they remodeled tomorow land in 98.

It's called the "Observatron". It always shocks me when they start the music up and that thing starts moving.

Last time we were there, my DLH kept asking me what its for and was watching it spin. Then I said it was for wasting electricity
