Tomorrowland Entrace Remodel

I saw this on WDWNT regarding the remodeling of the entrance to Tomorrowland. Does anyone have any other information on this? Does this give us hope that Tomorrowland will be getting a full refurbishment in the near future?

The entrance isn't really getting refurbed. The rocks are just getting repainted. There are no plans for anything major for tomorrowland. DL's will get work before MKs does.

That makes me sad. I was hoping with the CoP re-paint and now this there would be more stuff in the works.

Other than some new paint jobs for the buildings maybe nothing is in the works.

Part of me wishes they would have done the Jules Verne remodel in Disney World. Just like the one they did at DLP in Discoveryland. The current setting in Tomorrowland in Florida is so boring looking. It doesn't say future to me, it just says cheap.

Major overhaul for the entirety of Tomorrowland is way overdue, but priorities now rest with completing the upgrades of AK and DHS. I wouldn't expect it for at least 3 years. The best we can expect IMO is a paint job here or there.

I'd say that even a Future World remodel is a higher priority than Tomorrowland, which doesn't feel as out of date as Epcot. Some fresh paint and perhaps a new stage show would help tide the area over until a major remodel can be complete.

Tomorrowland has been receiving an updated paint scheme for a couple of years now. It's moving very slowly but additional painting is still planned. Tomorrowland may see an additional change with one of it's attractions, but that is later down the road.

I gather that it's supposed to represent a rocky, uninhabited alien planet landscape such as you would see on the moon or Mars.

The architecture of the main avenue apparently represents modular, prefabricated buildings with shutters that can be opened and closed to protect the city from radiation storms, meteorite showers or whatever.

I am the mom of a 5 month old who loves Disney Jr (yes I know, bad mom letting him watch tv), and I can't beleive they dont have anything related to Miles From Tomorrowland in..well, Tomorrowland! Even just a meet and greet with Miles by TTA or something would be so easy and I'm sure it would be a huge hit with little ones. And maybe adults too..DH and I are really excited to meet Doc McStuffins ourselves haha

i would totally meet Miles...as long as Merk is there... my 2 year old likes the show..and i honestly prefer it to many other shows on

Yes, we only put Disney Jr on for him, with the intentiom that he would recognize the characters on his first trip (he will only be 19 months old). But I found we actually enjoy Doc, Sofia, Miles, Jake snd Henry Hugglemonster. DH discovered Rolie Polie Olie yesterday morning and absolutely hated it. He works weekdays but is on holidays this week, so it was his first dose of it. Speaking of Dose, we HATE Special Agent Oso. I'll stop hijacking this thread now. Haha
