Does anyone have a really good tomato sauce recipe for spaghetti? Not a meat sauce, just a tomato one?

I totally can't cook but I love to make my own sauce for pasta...I've yet to find a really good one yet though!

Here is the recipe that I have been using. The flavor is more intense then the boil method. Good luck.

Tomato Sauce
Recipe courtesy Alton Brown

Prep Time: 25 minutes
Cook Time: 2 hours 30 minutes
Yield: 4 cups

20 Roma tomatoes, halved and seeded
1/4 cup olive oil
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 cup finely diced onion
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 tablespoon finely chopped oregano leaves
1 tablespoon finely chopped thyme leaves
1 cup white wine

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
In 2 (13 by 9-inch) pans place tomato halves cut side up. Sprinkle with oil, salt and pepper, onion, garlic, and herbs. Bake tomatoes for 2 hours. Check the tomatoes after 1 hour and turn down the heat if they seem to be cooking too quickly. Then turn the oven to 400 degrees and bake another 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and process tomatoes through a food mill on medium dye setting over a small saucepan. Discard skins. Add white wine, bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and cook for 5 minutes.

Here's the one that we use. My kids insist on this sauce and can't stand jarred sauces anymore. My 12yo likes it so much he had me teach him how to make it so he could make it if I didn't want to. It's not lumpy (which my kids insist on) and it has a good flavor. Since it's made with crushed tomatoes it's easy. I like Contadina brand of tomatoes. When I use it for pizza sauce I use a thicker brand of crushed tomatoes or let it cook for awhile.

Spaghetti Sauce

This is a recipe that has been modified from several other recipes
for a Marinara type of spaghetti sauce. This has no meat and is
lighter and has such a nice tomato taste. Very easy to prepare and
quite yummy! This is a family favorite in our house.

2 Tbs Olive Oil
1 tsp minced garlic

1 28 ounce can of crushed tomatoes with puree
2 Tbs dried parsley
1 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp of crushed red pepper flakes (optional)--I add the flakes at the table

Heat olive oil and saute garlic, be careful not to brown the garlic.
Add can of tomatoes and then the spices, stir well and let simmer for
15 minutes, then serve over pasta.

We use this sauce for almost anything that requires a tomato sauce.
Lasanga, stuffed shells, baked ziti, etc.

This is cheaper than jar sauce and almost as easy and fast. The
ingredients are things I always have on hand.
