Tom Sawyer's Island??

I know it is for kids, but what exactly is there? Will a 2 year old enjoy it?

Tom Sawyer Island is fun for all ages! You take a short boat ride over to Tom Sawyer Island where there are caves & trails to explore. At the end of the trails is an old time fort set-up like a frontier playground for kids. They can run around the buildings & shoot the toy rifles that are there. There is a small snack & beverage stand, but I think it's seasonal. As long as your 2-year old is mobile he/she will love it. Just be prepared to keep up the chase!

If your 2 yr. old likes to explore, then he/she will like it. You just kind of walk around and explore. There is a neat fort. And a tunnel, but you do not have to go through it. I don't b/c I am claustrophobic. And the views of frontierland and haunted mansion are awesome. Go ahead and try it.

Another thing I forgot - Tom Sawyer island doesn't open until 10am & closes at dusk, so plan accordingly. Someone please correct those times if it's changed recently & I'm wrong.

We always mean to escape to TSI when it gets too crazy at MK, but we often end up going back to the resort instead.

We did get there a few years ago. It has a playground (or a few I think.) and good places to run around and just play. Also good places to set and relax too.

It tends to be less crowded and hot then any other place in MK and that is a good thing.

Getting there can be a bit of work, but no more then standing in a line really.

Never much of a TSI fan myself. I hope they overhaul it.

our DS6 and DD4 loved it. They loved the cave that shifts you to walk leaning back. it is neat to watch thunder mtn.
