Tom Sawyer Island Question???

I read this and was wondering if it is true?? And if this is true..can't anybody get a fastpass at the ride itself?

If you are on one of the first few trips, see if you can find a paintbrush on Tom Sawyer Island. Turn it in to (I think) the boat captain on your way back and s/he'll give you a Fastpass to a nearby ride.

Yes, it's true. If you happen to find a paintbrush and turn it into a CM they will give you a pass permitting you to use the fastpass line on any ride. The pass is good for yourself and 3 others I believe. So in some respects it is better than a FP. You can use it on any FP ride, and it is good for more than one person.

We found a paintbrush in August! We were given a Fastpass that was good at either Splash or BTMRR.

How well hidden are the paintbrushes?

We found it in August. It was right out in the open on a path. It was good for use on Splash Mountain or BTMRR. I am not sure but it might have been an unlimited FP for the day for those two. It was on post card size certificate and when we used it at BTMRR and they did not take it from us or marked it as being used. We could have used it more. It was the 7th day of our trip and using TGM at the end of August we pretty much rode everything we wanted multiple times during the wee so it wasn't high on our list to use it again but I think we could have used it multiple times. (We had already ridden BTMRR 4-5 times that day.)

One other thought we found it around 11:30. Admittedly it wasn't crowded but it was on the main path to the fort. I think they put it out a few times a day. We were there other days earlier than that and didn't see it.

This past trip was my first time to Tom Sawyer island, & it was really neat. The kids loved it, I wish I could have found a paint brush though!

We used our Fastpass on BTMRR, and they did take the postcard when we used it. If it were unlimited, I would have used it for Splash several times. It's our favorite ride. In fact, the reason we picked BTRMM to use with this fastpass is because we were killing time on Tom Sawyer's Island waiting for our Splash FP return time.

The paintbrush we found was in one of the forts. It wasn't really "hidden." It was just placed there.

We leave in about 2 weeks....and was just wondering if someone had a picture of the paintbrush???
