I was just wondering.... There doesn't seem to be a CS place in MGM that really sounds appealing to my family, except for the Turkey legs. I know, a lot of people just don't like these, but my family had their first one last November and it was great. We also tried the footlong hot dogs........they were ok........I've had better but they were good.

Anyway, we will have 4A and 1C when we go in August on the Dining plan. At that particular place at MGM (maybe at the MK also) there is no childs menu. (which I totally understand, I'm not complaining or asking for one) I just don't know what they will let my child order, maybe the footlong hotdog?? Here is the menu from allearsnet.com

Menu Date: June 2006

Turkey Leg $5.19
Foot Long Hot Dog $3.99
Hot Dog with Chili and Cheese $5.19
Bud and Bud Light $5.25

Potato Chips $2.39

Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Fanta Orange, Hi-C Lemonade, Nestea, Hi-C Punch $2.09/$2.39

Dasani Bottled Water $1.25/$2.00
Hot Chocolate, Hot Tea $1.69
Nescafe Coffee $1.69/$1.89
Milk $1.99

Anyone have any experience here?

This is just a little stand.. I say try pizza planet for decent pizza or abc commissary for something a bit different but if you want normal burgers just go to backlot express..

Yeah, we ate at the Toluka stand last year. We really want to get Turkey legs while we are there and don't want to have to get the "adult" meals here and go somewhere else for a "child's" meal.

We are in MGM 3 days, so chances are, we will try ABC commissary or something. But we wanted to try to get the Turkey legs on one of the days.

Anyone?

Are you sure that stand is on the DP? I know that turkey legs are not a snack, but I haven't heard of anyone getting them as a CS either.

Sorry, I know that's not really an answer!

You know, I'm wondering. Maybe you guys are right. But I thought that I had read that they got a turkey leg, chips and drink.......no dessert.........so they didnt think it was the best place to use the 1 CS credit.

Ummm.....I'll try to find it on a search, but you guys might be right. Wow. I CERTAINLY understand it not being used as a snack, but I thought because it is cheaper than a lot of other CS meals, it was allowed.

That's interesting. I looked on allears and it is not listed in the chart for CS or snack. I wish you could get it for a CS credit. I hate all other counter service at MGM, but I love those turkey legs. They are big enough to feed me and my 2 DDs. We love them I was going to get one OOP before fantsmic anyway.

:cool1: I found this one. It definitely sounds like it's on the plan, but some people don't want to use their credit since you only get chips for a side and no dessert. I don't care about that stuff..........I just want my turkey leg!! :rotfl:

So what do you think they would give my child? :confused3

Well, if it is on the DDP (yahoo!!!) and there is no children's menu, your kids should be able to order the same thing you do.

I had heard the TUFF/LUCK (Turkeys United for Feathered Freedom / Limbs United for Clement Kingdoms) organizations had been paying Disney off to keep their legs off the Dining Plan.

Do you have ANY IDEA how many legless turkeys are out there running around?

:rotfl: Not to mention emus. :teeth:

We always pay OP for the turkey legs and use our CS credits elsewhere. They are a must have for our family every trip;)

Twinklebug - how cruel you are. How you can say something so mean and callous? I mean really... "do you know how many legless Turkeys are running around..." as if they could run with no legs! You could have said something like "do you know how many legless Turkeys are LAYING around" and I would have understood. But to let people believe that poor legless turkeys could run... that's just sad... boy I'm hungry for a turkey leg!
