We are staying in the Davenport area and going to Universal and Sea World this trip. We usually fly and stay onsite at Disney, and this time we are driving and staying offsite. So, I am wondering where the toll roads are (will I go on them each time I got to US or SW?) and how much they are? Do I need exact change?

Also, what is the tax rate on theme park tickets?

Thanks in advance for any insight!

well from Davenport you get on I4 - so no toll roads.

now if 429 is that far - then you could get on it - but I4 works pretty well most of the time.

florida on the big toll roads - has someone to give you change. so exact change is not necessary (it helps)

if you buy then it is more. I think if you buy over the internet it is 6% - state tax only.

Just a heads up to anyone on a tight budget:

All tolls on the Expressway system in Orlando/ Orange County will increase by 25 cents beginning Sunday, April 5 (generally from 75 cents to a dollar at toll plazas, 50 cents to 75 at ramps).

I don't believe the turnpike will effected by this...just the roads operated by the Orlange County Expressway Authority.
