Tolls and Rental Cars

Does anyone know if Budget Rental Car has the same program as Hertz? We rented a car from Hertz last year and was able to drive through the tolls without going through the cash lanes. I can not remember what Hertz calls their program.

Any help would be great.

I believe they do... you do realize that Hertz charged you several extra dollars per day for this "feature" don't you?

(I just pay it's not that hard LOL!)

Hertz (and most of the programs) charge $2.00 - $2.50 per day up to a maximum of $10.00 per rental period. IMO, it's worth the cost just for the convenience of not having to wait in the lines, slow down (most of the lanes are high speed, you don't slow down) or have to carry change (or exact change).

As for if Budget offers a PlatePass program on their vehicles, this is from Budgets website:

In the state of Florida the renter has the option of using Sun-Pass Only and ePass Only express video lanes without stopping. When a renter utilizes these video based toll lanes, the toll system identifies the car and charges the posted toll plus a daily service fee to the Renter's credit card.

How much does e-Toll cost?
When Budget e-Toll is accessed even once per rental period, customers will be charged the posted cash toll rate, plus a service fee of US $2.50 per rental day with a maximum charge of US $10.00 per week.
