Well I just hope it significantly affects reservations.

This has certainly affected who we will book with - one problem may be a glitch but so many reports? Not willing to take a chance on Dollar now ...

friends that arrived a few days after at New year us told us on their arrival that they missed a toll just after they left the airport, it is the one previous posters described on the 528 which looks like an exit. Anyway yesterday they received a letter from thrifty demanding the 50c and a $25 admin fee. this is a genuine case as they know they missed the toll, what i dont understand is that the toll company are not asking for a fine to be paid just that the original toll is paid, it is the hire company who are asking for extra for an admin fee which imho is excessive.

We recieved a notice from Dollar that $25.75 was charged to our credit card for a missed $.75 toll back on December 6, 2008. I emailed them and wanted the proof (picture with license plate, time and date stamp). They emailed me an told me they credited my account a one time customer courtesy credit of $12.50 but no picture with time and date stamp! I think it's a scam! anyone agree? I will not be booking with dollar anymore!!!!!!!

So difficult to prove if it is a scam. My next 3 rentals are now booked with Budget to be on safe side(just watch them start doing it now )

easy way round it,pick up away from airport,avoid toll rolls.only go on them if a state of emergency in place for a huracane.then there free to use it lasts for 3 days after its removed i think to alow people back to affected areas.one of the only good things about a huracaine

I'm worried now, not been for two years so if there is a new toll section sounds like I'm not going to recognise it.

Anyone fancy marking up a google map with the location and making it a sticky for the next few months while we all get the hang of which section of road to be careful on?

If you're not sure how, find the section on google maps and click send link or something like that, it will create a shortcut directly to the map you've selected for others to see.

Hello All: I called dollar today and got another $12.50 credited to my account. I also found out that the Airport toll on the Bee Line Express Way on the way to I-4 is a Pass24 or camera lane only, in other words there is no physical way to pay cash for the toll and get a receipt. I was told that you have to purchase Pass24 @ $5.00 a day from the car rental agency to avoid the $25.00 missed toll charge. So buyer beware! Also was told Rt. 417 from airport to Kissimmee is also the same way, a toll road.

Are the people who buy platinum insurance via Virgin getting stung too as we don't usually leave credit card details when we do this?
