Toll roads?

Hi-

I'm planning my family's first ever trip to WDW, and need some info on toll roads.

I'm completely unfamiliar with tolls-- we just don't have them here!

We'll be driving in, staying onsite, then, we're planning to park and use WDW transportation for the bulk of our stay.

What would be a "safe" amount to budget for toll roads? Approximately how much do most of the tolls cost? Do I need exact change?

Thanks!

Holly

I'm not sure about the amount of tolls on Florida's Turnpike.

If it is not rush hour, get on I=4 as soon as you can and there are no more tolls.

If you go south, around the east side of the airport, to Rte. 417 west to Disney (less rush hour traffic), then budget about $2.50 more for tolls each way.

You don't need exact change for the mainline toll barriers but a few of the exit tolls are exact change only. So have at least some change on hand and don't give it all away to strangers asking or to toll booths that don't reall need it.

AAA might be able to help you with toll roads from Arkansas to Florida, if that's what you mean.
