Toll Roads Help

So on Thursday, October 11th my daughter & I set off for our Minnesota trip and crossed the border at Sarnia. Everything was going smoothly until I discovered somehow, after stopping for gas around Lansing Michigan, I managed to get on 96 heading southeast toward Detroit instead of continuing 69 southwest. Yeah, we made it almost all the way to Detroit.

With the help of a couple at Starbucks we found our way onto 96/94 westbound to continue the correct way. They taught me how to use Google Maps much better (ie, turning into a vocal GPS instructional map).

Enter the toll roads. I kept seeing signs above stating to stay in this lane to pay electronic. In my own limited defense by the time we entered Illinois I was tired, rattled and checking we were going the right way every few minutes. I haven't driven in the States by myself before. There were signs everywhere talking about cash payment, ipass, electronic, exit tolls, etc. I thought electronic meant debit or visa. (Feel free to laugh - no offense will be taken. I'm an idiot, I know. :sad2: ) I had my daughter dig out my US funds Visa and kept it tucked under my leg. No matter how far I drove I never saw a toll. Around Rockford IL my tired brain vaguely recalled reading something on DIS a few weeks earlier about paying tolls online.

Sure enough the Illinois Tollway online shows my plate missing tolls on Oct 11 and 12th, which I should have paid by the 17th I was told. Paid by Visa online today.

Question 1) Driving through Illinois on the way home I tried to stop at the cash toll option but I know I missed 1 for sure, maybe 2. My plate search does not pull up anything for the 14th and 15th. I image because I'm still within the 7-day grace period. But I don't know which ones I missed. I didn't know I had to keep track. I thought the website would post them through my license plate but I guess they don't until the 7-day period has passed. Do I, at this point, need to wait until day 8 or 9 to search and find the unpaid toll and then pay it? Is there another way to find the unpaid toll before then?

Question 2 I'm trying to figure out if the other States I drove through had tolls. I don't recall. It doesn't look like Michigan does (beyond crossing the border). What about Indiana? Wisconsin? Minnesota?

EDITED: Indiana - from what I see online, it looks like Indiana only has a toll road along I-90/I-80 called Indiana Toll Road. I drove along 94 west curving along Lake Michigan and onto 294 north. I guess I'm fine in Indiana then.

Minnesota - found a phone number and was assured I'm fine. No toll or fine for me to worry about.

Wisconsin - doesn't look like they have toll roads.

Just a thought; you might want to post this question over on the Transportation board. Much more likely to be seen by someone from Illinois who knows how their state system works.

I'm from MI and there are no toll roads there. The ones around Chicago can be tricky because you have to exit off in order to pay the toll! I'm not sure about repaying ones you've missed since we've never been in that situation before. The toll road you mentioned in Indiana I believe is the Skyway which takes you into downtown Chicago.

Also google if you have to pay at all. We got a parking ticket in Seattle and never had to pay. We've rentered the states a number of times. No issues.
