We will be leaving tommorow night for the magic. I am coming from the Florida panhandle. My question is should I take the Toll road or is their an alternate route. Also how much is the toll? Thanks.

Other than I-4, I-Drive, and US192, most of the main routes into and out of the tourist areas of Orlando are toll roads, and they are WORTH EVERY PENNY! The traffic on the 3 above-mentioned roads is horrendous, and will eat into your vacation time like a school of piranhas.

It is possible to avoid the tolls by taking alternate back routes, but it is not worth the time and difficulty involved. I doubt that most drivers spend more than $20 in tolls in the course of an Orlando vacation; much less if you have a tendency to stay put once you reach Lake Buena Vista.

We live in Pensacola and go to WDW quite often - TAKE THE TOLL ROAD :D - it's so worth it!! You're only spending $3 - not worth the hassle to try to go around it.

If I am coming off of 95 from the N what is the alternative to I-4?:sunny:

Thanks, as usual you all of been great help. The Toll Road it is.

The I-4 alternative from the north is 417, aka the Greenway, a toll route. It starts near Sanford and goes past MCO and straight to WDW. MUCH faster way to go.
