If using 528 between WDW (or Universal) and MCO be aware:
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. —
If you drive on State Road 528 in Orange County, you’ll save a little extra money starting Monday.
As of Sunday night, the Airport Toll Plaza on the Beachline was closed.
One of the oldest toll plazas in Central Florida, and the second busiest on the 109-mile expressway system, it is set to be demolished as part of a $32 million project to widen the Beachline.
The project is aimed at making the drive easier for more than 75,000 vehicles that pass through the toll plaza every day.
It will take about six weeks to complete, and during that time, instead of paying tolls at the existing plaza, they will be taken at the Beachline West Main Plaza or at four new ramp plazas.
