OK, i know there are many similar threads out there but can't really find my answer in them.

Looking to request a room at Poly in the Tokelau longhouse, west/pool side. Probably will also request 1st floor. Have heard there are some great garden view rooms near the beach with side Castle/lagoon views.

Would it be best for me to leave the request as "Tokelau, pool side, 1st floor" or should i also add "rooms 1911-1914 if possible" or just "as close to beach as possible". Have people found making specific room requests can be risky and end up not even getting the building they want, or is it worth a try.

Also, if anyone has loved the Tokelau room they were in, i would love to hear it or see a picture of the view. Part of me wants to be as close to the beach as possible, thought the other part thinks closer to the GCH and bus stops may be better.

I prefer an upper floor, so requested Tokelau upper floor beach end. I got a great room, you want to be facing Hawaii longhouse, not sure what direction that is :roll eyes: but we could see part of the lake, and the Castle looking to the right off our balcony.
I prefer an upper floor because of less foot traffic by our room. Some people don't understand about "indoor voices" and yell down the halls :sad2:

We were in Tokelau, ground floor, right by the quiet pool. I can't remeber exactly, but the room number was something near 1941-1945. It was on the opposite end of the beach, but we loved it because it was so close to the TTC, the bus stop & the quiet pool. Here is the view:

I really wouldn't go beyond requesting Tokelau. You're actually making three requests:

1.) Tokelau
2.) Pool side
3.) first floor

Adding another about where you'd like to be in relation to the beach would then be a fourth request. The more requests you make, the less likely it is they'll be able to honor them. Everything I've read says that you should limit your requests to 2 - at the most.

I've been in Tokelau and I don't think there's a bad room in the bunch.

You should have your requests in order of Importance, so you'd have to decide what's more important, ground floor or beach end. I think you'd get a better view from Beach end if you want a chance to see the castle.
