Toddlers at Sci Fi... Highchairs or Cars?

Quick question as I get ready to make ADRs...

DH would really like to eat at Sci Fi and I think my DS would get a kick out of it, too. But we also have two toddlers (they'll be 3 days past their 2nd birthday when we arrive) in our party. Will they be allowed to sit in the car with us to eat? Or will the restaurant insist that they be in highchairs? For what it's worth - they are very well behaved little girls and I don't foresee any problems with them sitting in the car.

Also - if we CAN sit in the car, will we fit?? We're a party of five - two adults and three kids (ages 4, 2, 2). Can I sit with the girls (ages 2, 2) and my husband sit with DS (age 4)? Would there be enough room for an adult and two toddlers?

Thanks in advance!

They do have booster seats. We are a party of 5 and we were able to put to 2 older boys in one row and me dh and ds in a booster in the other row. I think you should fit just fine.

I don't see why the restaurant would make you use high chairs. We went (me, DH, DD1 (5), DD2 (2)) and we put my little gal in a high chair at the end of the car. No problems at all. I think you'll all fit with no high chairs.

Might I say that I'm amazed that your girls will behave and sit still out of a high chair. Not my wild woman. :cutie:

Thanks for your quick replies! Glad to hear we should have no problems...

And, mkleinbe -- as long as you put food in front of them (or even better - milkshakes :thumbsup2), they'll sit still and behave! :rotfl:

You'll have a blast at Sci-fi!
We went in february with my 2 DDs (then 5 and 20 months). My 20 month old sat in a booster seat between me and her sister. There was plenty of room. They split a kids Pizza meal and the waitress had it divided onto 2 Mickey plates for us before she brought it out. They loved the cartoons and had a really great time. They loved my DH's and Mom's milkshakes, they were very good.
We all enjoyed our meals too, Veggie burger, Bacon Cheeseburger, Kids Pizza and chili. All was delicious! The fries with the burgers were especially good.

I have to put in my two cents & say the exact opposite. If your two year olds will sincerely stay in their high chairs the entire time you are eating, it will be fine. But only one will fit at the end of a car row. However, when we went here last year with our two year old she only stayed in her high chair half the time. The rest of the time she sat between dh & I. It was narrow & crowded and dh now never wants to go back here again.

I, personally, think it is a cool place. If we had not had the two year old, he would have felt that way. Here is a photo of him & his milkshake (which was dumped on him by squirmy toddler) and you can see how narrow the table is. It is just big enough for the plates to fit on. And you can see by the baby's drink how close it is to him.

Just wanted to give you another perspective. It is an awesome place. Hopefully someday when dh has forgotten & the toddler is big we'll go here again. But it'll take some talking.
