We have a swimsuit for our DGD that has built-in floatation that I know would be allowed in all of the WDW swimming areas but we would also like to take a "learn to swim" vest so that we can use regular swim suits and have a couple to alternate.

Does anybody know if it is allowed or where I can find an answer? I don't want to waste the packing space for it if we cannot use it.

Here is a link to the vest:

I don't know but at the Boardwalk, where we have stayed many times, they have life jackets available for the resort guests to use. I'm not sure how big the smallest ones are but you might try and contact your resort to see if those are available.

hth.

They had lifejackets for the kids at POR, too, on Old Man's Island.

My DD was just turned 3 (and she is small for her age) and she used one. She liked it just fine and it really helped make pool time more fun for everyone!

We bring my ds's flotation device all the time. No one has ever said anything. His is a strap that goes thru 3 floaters that straps around his belly. He calls them his BUBBLES.

We took a bubble, inner tube, you name it in the pools with us. No one ever questioned it and there were lots of other kids with swimmies, life jackets, and those bathing suits with the flotation sewed in. Never seemed to be an issue....

We stayed at POFQ and they had life vests but we used our own and the lifeguards didn't give it a second look. No problems.
