Toddler Pool?

Just came back from a San Diego trip at a resort with a children's pool (one ft deep / 82 degrees). My niece (20 months old) loved it.

We have a WDW trip planned for August. Where are the toddler pools located?

I see you are going to SSR, BCV, and VB. I don't know about BCV and VB but at SSR there is no "toddler pool", however the zero entry area is where all the real little ones were splashing about during our stay. There is also a donald duck sprayground that is really cool.

BCV has a small round kiddie pool by the playground at SAB. BWV has one with an elephant that sprays water from his trunk, VWL has a separate kiddie pool also, as does OKW.

SSR has a Donald padded area with lots of water features, a small kiddie slide integrated into the main pool and the zero entry area with lionhead fountains on the side.

Both waterparks have toddler areas also.

BCV- We were at BCV when my DD was 26 months and there were two areas she loved. BCV has a small round kiddie pool that is only 1 or so deep with trees around it for shade. There is also the sand bar area that is a shallow water area (2.5ft max) with a sand bottom and beach/mound. Don't forget for a dry play time to go to the beach area to let your little one play in the real sand ( and you get to sit in a lounger!)

VB - There was no kiddie pool but a really fun splash area. It is a small pirate ship slide and spray. We were there in Feb. and it was a bit too cold for my DD4. But they do have life vests that you can borrow to help keep them a little safer in the big pool. It was a fairly comfortable foam one.

She'll have a ball where you are going.

As already noted, SSR has a "zero entry" pool. No steps, you just walk right into the water and it is plenty shallow for the little ones. You just have to watch that they don't wade out over their heads. She'll love the small Doanld Duck water play area. A little water fall and some fountains.

Now BCV is wonderful for the little ones. Yes, there is a self contained kiddie pool, but that is hardly ever used. There is one whole section of Stormalong Bay that is dedicated to little ones. It has a sandy beach area right in the middle of the section that the kids can play on and run into the water. Pool also has a sand bottom. Again, the deeper sections of this area might be three feet or so, so you have to make sure they don't walk into an area that is too deep for them, but our kids absolutely love Stormalong Bay.

We have a two year old. His clear favorite is storm along bay. There is a a small round "baby" pool that has sprinklers, and it is very warm. Maybe one foot deep. He likes that OK. But the real toddler action is in the area of the main pool on the yacht club side, where there is lots of sand and water that is zero entry all around the sand, and maybe 3 feet deep at the deepest. So it is a place were supervised preschoolers and toddlers can have a ball playing in the sand, wading, etc. Also, one great thing about it is that over on the ship that has the stairs up to the main pool slide, there is a little pool on the ship and a small slide. He also really likes the water falls (being carried), and "riding" around the lazy river and whirlpool. The quiet pools at beach club are OK.

He also really likes wilderness lodge pools. They have a baby pool that is a little bit bigger than the one at SAB, but it doesn't have the squirting water. It is more rectangular. It is flat and smooth bottom and little ones like to run and stomp in it. The main pool is pretty good too - its mostly for just being carried in, but the waterfall and current make it intersting and fun - he likes sitting on the wall where the creek comes in. The quiet pool here he likes, because of the bubbles. No sliding for toddlers at wlv, but preschoolers who are good in the water would be OK.

At okw, he was OK with the pool - hey, he's a toddler, he just wants in the pool - but it wasn't as much fun really as bcv and wlv. There is a toddler pool there by the main pool. No sliding for toddlers. We tried one of the quiet pools once, and it was fine for a pool.

At SSR he really liked the donald duck, but beyond that didn't really get in to anything.

We haven't stayed at bwv since he's been born.
