Anyone have a suggestion on where to get ponchos in a toddler size? We have a 2 and 3 year-old going in 3 weeks, and we can't seem to find them. Anyone?

Target, wallmart and sometimes the larger drug stores usually have them. Honesly though my dd's were never comfy in a poncho until they were preschool age or older. If you can find a rain coat you may be better off. I just folded them (they fold up almost as small as a poncho) and put them in a ziplock.

I highly recommend a stroller cover if you don't have one already, those FL showers can pop up quick and soak everything in about 5 minutes :)

Yep, bought one for our stroller, only to discover 4 weeks later that it is backordered. We won't have it in time for our trip. Haven't yet chacked Babies-r-us for a generic cover, but plan to do that soon.

Bummer- good luck at BRU you may find a poncho or raincoat there as well.

If all else fails a clear plastic poncho from the dollar store and some binder clips will do the trick in a pinch. I prefer the real stroller covers for the fit and ventilation but if you are careful the poncho is better than nothing.

we just went with my 2yo. i bought a child size at target, it was a yellow coleman one. all i did to make it fit was tie each side, not to each other but rather the back to the front on both sides. of course you could cut it too, but they are a good quality and i wanted to use it next year as well.

for the stroller i bought a clear plastic shower curtain at the dollar store and then used chip clips to keep it in place. i ahd the chip clips, but they sell them at the dollar store as well.

I found child size Princess raincoats at CVS the other day. It was smooshed in the pack like a poncho, so it will fit in my bag. :goodvibes You may check there!

I bought a childs one from Walgreens for my 2.5 dd for $2.99. All she had to do was hold the front up a fraction (about an inch) when she walked and it fitted her fine (I could have trimmed it but she thought it was fun to hold up). My dd is about 36 inches tall. Over the buggy I use a $1 adult one.

My boys love the child sized ones at Rainforst Cafe. We paid $5-6 each I think. They are blue with Cha-Cha on them! So cute and my son has his at school now because hes in a portable. He shows it off all of the time.

I bought a plastic tablecloth and the package of 5 small chip clips for the stroller. I have a rain cover and it is fine, but realized last year that it doesn't cover the canopy or back of the stroller so everything got all wet until we started leaving our poncho on it. Then we got all wet!

We are just back from a rainy trip with Fay so I can tell you all about rain with a toddler! We had a Disney pancho from the parks that is specifically toddler-sized (don't remember the price--sorry). It worked okay for DS who is 3.5 and tall for his age. I suggest a baseball cap or something similar for their heads, because otherwise the hood just keeps pulling back. The sleeves were a little long but we rolled them up a bit.

I will say after experiencing day after day after day of rain, I almost feel an expert on the subject. If I KNEW it was going to be that rainy, I would have just had him wear a nice long raincoat instead of a pancho. We didn't really have too many options when we were there so we stuck with the pancho. It was easy to tote around for sure.

Basically, to answer your original question, Disney does sell toddler sized panchos and we did see a few smaller kids wearing them as well, but again, I think a raincoat is a better bet if you are expecting a lot of rain. If you are thinking of just an occasional shower here and there, a pancho would do fine. Again, a baseball cap helps keep the rain out of their face and eyes and helps keep the hood in place.

I hope this helps!!!!

We just bought kids size $ store one's and cut them to fit before we left. They were fine for our 3 and 4 year old

My 2 youngest use very thin rain jackets that I got in the camping section of Wal-Mart. I find them easier than the ponchos with the little ones because they have a zipper.

we bought a couple at walmart - and it was the best thing - we used two for the stroller - and cut another one down for our toddler - and then after the first one got wet and humid inside - we used another one that was dry - ours at walmart were between 50 cents and $1 - depending on size and color (the clear was cheaper and was better so that they can see thru from inside the stroller - the older ones liked the idea of having two - so that one dried while they used the other one -
