Has anyone brought one along instead of using the pack n play? Our DS will be over 2 and not sure if he will still enjoy sleeping in it.

I haven't used mine yet, but I did buy one. My dd sleeps on a cot at daycare so I figure it would be very similar to that, and probably more comfortable too ;)

My kids had those when they were little - heck, even DS7 at just over 4 feet and 45 lbs would probably still be fairly comfortable on one! (we might have to put a pillow at the end now...I think they are about 3-3 1/2 feet long?)

I think it's a great idea!!

We just brought a regular twin air mattress with us. Heck of a lot cheaper than the toddler variety, I think ours was under $10 at Wal-Mart, and he won't grow out of it for a long time to come. He used it for our trip when he was 2.5, and he was already in a twin at home.

We get the toddler bedrails from the resort and the kids just sleep in the regular beds.

I had a child-size Aerobed when my youngest was 2-3. I liked it for him because it had slightly higher sides that helped keep him in the bed, it wasn't so easy for him to roll off the sides. The only bad thing about it was that if he woke up, he'd just come stand by my side of the bed and stare at me until I woke up. It's so unsettling to wake up, open your eyes and see someone staring at you! Then, I'd wind up pulling him into bed beside me so we could get some more sleep.

My boss's wife bought that Aerobed from me and uses it with their grandchildren when they visit and she's told me how much the kids love sleeping on it. It suited the purpose I needed at the time.

We had a toddler air mattress my mom would use at her house. Problem was, every time DD would move on it I'd wake up. It was really noisy. Test yours first!
