I have a question for anyone familiar with staying at CBR. We will be there in September. I was considering renting a toddler bed for my son who will be 35 months old. I really think him sleeping on a regular double size bed is just out of the question becuase of the way he rolls.. and we'd really like to get a king bed for my husband and me.

However, can you tell me where I would be able to put the bed? I was hoping it would fit in the vanity area behind the curtain since my son does better if he thinks he's the only one in the room. Would this be possible. I can't see around the corner in the pictures, but is there room around the corner where you would generally hang clothes (we can do without haning all our clothes, if his bed would fit.

Any suggestions welcomed! Thanks!

I'ts been a while since I stayed there but have you considered just getting bed rails. Disney will provide them.

I don't *think* that space is big enough. But it might be just big enough. It would take someone actually measuring it to know for sure. Have you thought about bed rails?

We have thought about rails.. but, my son still sleeps in (and loves) his crib at home, (probably converting it to a toddler bed soon) But he just doesn't do well having that much room to move around.. if that makes sense. He'd rather roll and play and I'm really afraid he'd scurry off the foot of the bed since I never know how I'll find him in his crib. Also, I'd really like to put something behind a barrier so he can't see us.. He generally doesn't sleep well if he knows anyone is in the room with him..

I understand your situation. If it will fit, it will be close. I just can't say for sure. I know the rooms well, but never really paid much attention to exactly how much room is there in that spot. Plus I don't remember how big a toddler be is. Our son went from a crib to a double.

From the pic below, do you think a toddler bed would fit where the bench is? The bench can be moved.

Thanks for the photo!

I can't really tell if it would fit, I'll show my husband tonight and ask him. He is much better at spacial issues.. I am generally a bad judge when it comes to these things.

I rented a toddler bed for my son during a stay and he had never slept in a toddler bed before. He had been in a twin bed since he was 18 months old (with a bed rail pushed up against the wall). I made the mistake of assuming he would do just fine in a toddler bed with great buzz lightyear sheets and comforter. He crawled into my bed every night because it was just too small or for reasons I do not know. In retrospect, I should have realized that he would do better in what he is used to. So I suggest having him sleep in one a few weeks before the trip. We did stay at CBR a few years back and both my boys stayed in the bed together. I asked for two bed rails and those kids weren't going anywhere! Good Luck.

We always stick a pack & play in the corner behind the curtain at CBR. First my daughter, and now son, always think they had their own room that way and would go right to sleep! There's plenty of room for it & even some left, so you can still use most of the closet too. I'm betting the toddler bed would be fine. (But knowing my 2 1/2 year old, you'd better make sure there's nothing within his reach he could get into!!

We'll be going in May when my little guy will be 34 months, and we still plan on going the pack&play-behind-the-curtain route! My daughter, who's now 5 1/2, stay in the double bed with plenty of pillows around her (she still moves around a lot!) We requested bed rails last year, but they were so bulky, we just sent them back and she was fine (but a not-quite-3-year-old might not).

I bought and used a toddler cot at CBR last month. The cot was purchased from Wal Mart for about $25.00. It fit perfectly between the two double beds in a standard room. And my son slept in it and loved it every night of our vacation.
