We are thinking about taking our grandson with us when we go to WDW and Universal in Dec. What can a 2 1/2 y/o 34" toddler do at Universal?

I took a 1.5 yr old to universal. There are a lot of play areas, water play areas, also liked dr suess land! You can probably entertain the toddler for hours in that one area

We took our almost 3 year old (she was a month shy) last November. She rode a fair share of items, and Universal has a great parent swap. She also loved the parades. The parks are so colorful they catch the little ones eyes. We had a great time.
