So in September we are taking our then 17 month old on his very first Disney Trip! We are staying at Pop where we have stayed before but I am looking for some advice from others who have stayed in a value with a toddler. He will be sleeping in a pack n play at night, and I am just trying to figure out how we will put him to bed between 8-9pm and still be able to stay up a little and watch TV or read. At home, he sleeps in his own room and we keep his door open so he is used to hearing noise after going to bed but he really sleeps best when it is nice and dark in a room. Has anyone put the pack n play behind the curtain divider or did you find that your toddler was exhausted and just went to sleep despite the TV noise? Please help a new momma out!

My kids were always tired enough to sleep through us watching tv, flushing, going in and out, whatever. We just made sure we put a sheet or blanket on the side so the light didn't bother them.

Most nights, my 2 year old was tired enough to fall right asleep. Twonights, we put the pack in play in the area between the bedroom/bath room by the sink and pulled the curtain until he fell asleep, and then opened it up again.

I remember when we brought our 2 year old we had planned on putting the pack and play behind the curtain but ended up now for some reason. It's definitely a good idea and gives them a sense of being in another quiet room.

Another option is keeping him out by your beds but bringing a monitor and turning off the lights and sitting right outside the door until he falls asleep.

Most times though our toddler was SO exhausted that he fell asleep right away - and we were exhausted too!

Two tips that made our trip a lot better - bring outlet plugs and dish soap and a sponge to clean sippy cups! We forgot and had to pay a lot more $$ for it in the gift shop!

We took our then two year old and stayed at ASMusic a couple of years ago. We ended up ditching the pack and play because it took up too much of our tiny room. It was easier to just haver her sleep in one of the full beds with one of us. We did get a bedrail, however.

I wouldn't worry about keeping him awake at night. My husband and I were so exhausted that we just went to sleep when our daughter did. I'm pretty sure I got the best sleep of my life on our vacation because of sheer exhaustion.

We had our DS 1 1/2 and our DD 6 months both in pack n plays at the POP. If any are available you can always ask for a handicap room (if they are not needed of course) as there is only one bed and it gives you a little more room. We found that the sleeping was tough, basically when the kids went to bed we had to go to bed. We also had two though so the arrangements where a little cramped. We then had a system though during the afternoon naps I would go to the pool and go exploring etc while my husband stayed back and slept or read and at bedtime I would stay in the room while my DH went out.

At CBR, we used the curtain for my daugther, who was 2 at the time. It worked pretty well. She was EXHAUSTED though.
