Well today's the day we've been waiting for and I wake up with sore/swollen glands, earache and a sore throat hoping it's just a super quick virus and not infection!

Ibuprofen, gargle with salt water, antihistimine and decongestant. I took nightime cold and flu tablets the other night, and it helped to turn the corner. Feel better soon!

Good luck... I've been battling a chest cold for a few days and it attacked my head yesterday... arggghhhh!!! A Neo Citran and off to bed last night and (touch wood) it seems a bit better this morning.

I'm sure you have not had much sleep lately with all the last minute planning. Once you get on the plane, you'll fall asleep like a baby in your seat and wake up refreshed and ready to go in Orlando!

Make a quick stop at the pharmacy & get some cough/cold meds or Cold FX + some Strepsils lozenges. Strepsils are antiseptic just in case there's a little bit of strep throat started. Healthy vibes! There's a cold going around here so that's probably all it is. A little FL sunshine should help you feel better

I'd second the suggestion to pick up some ColdFX. I find it works wonders and it's not available in the US, so you'd need to get it before you go.

Have a great trip! Even if you're not feeling 100%, it's far nicer to be sick in FL than at home!

I have had a terrible sore throat etc for the last few days. This morning I was talking to my neighbour who also happens to be a doctor and he is suffering with the same thing. He said that it is allergies. There was also a feature on CTV news last night about the early warm weather causing allergies all over North America.

It is now available in some areas. I found it in Syracuse.

Expensive stuff, but effective if you catch the cold early.

I totally agree with the allergy situation! My allergies are off the chart and I have allergy shots and take antihistamines....still not taking care of things. I had a very sore throat last week and it never really moved, then I had post nasal drip and my nose stuffed up a little.

Never turned into a true blue cold....but am still dealing with the same symptoms a week later. When I went for my allergy shot, they told me it was my allergies!
