Ok boys and girls...Professor BT is here and in todays lesson we learn that today in 1937, the Duke of Windsor, formerly King Edward VIII of Great Britain married Wallace Simpson.

And 1906, legendary African American dancer and actress Josephine Baker was born in St. Louis. Her sinuous, flamboyant style infatuated the French, who called her the "black Venus."

Also, in 1960 Clarence Gideon, was arrested and charged with breaking into a poolroom in Forida. His appeal eventually led to the establishment of, "You have a right to an attorney."

Well, that's all for today folks. Hope everyone enjoyed todays history lesson.

Also

In 1888, the poem "Casey at the Bat," by Ernest Lawrence Thayer, was first published, in the San Francisco Daily Examiner
