I have had my DS5 room decorated with peel and stick "Cars" on the walls. Well, I went into his room and he was taking them down. "Mommy, I dont like Lightening McQueen anymore." I was sad:sad2: but on the bright side he still loves Mickey Mouse and Pluto! Thanks for letting me share this.

:sad2: Awww ... I remember the Lightning McQueen days very well! When we first went to WDW in February 2008, DS (then 5) was really into "Cars" and his room reflected this. The Lightning McQueen mania died down a few months after our trip when he discovered baseball and the Nintendo DS (the Wii, too). The "Cars" poster came down off the wall and was replaced by one of Derek Jeter.

DS just turned 8 yesterday and my mother and I took him to Toys R Us to look around. It was kind of sad when we passed the "Cars" aisle and I even said to him, "Remember when you liked 'Cars", 'Bob the Builder' and 'Thomas the Tank Engine'?" His response? "That was a really long time ago, Mom." :rotfl:

So happy that your little guy still loves Mickey and Pluto. Mine too, especially Pluto!

I know how you feel. My DD10 LOVED Ariel. Her world once revolved around her and now she no longer loves Ariel. Well, just for my own sanity, i bought her an Ariel shirt at TDS for Valentine's Day (one of several gifts). The look she gave me when she opened it was like a stake through my heart. I just had to face that she would rather wear a Hollister t-shirt than an Ariel one.

But she still loves Disney World so I guess that is ok.

Aww, I feel your pain! We recently redid DD3.5's room (to princesses, so at least I still have some time with her!) and got some Tiana wall stickers. DS5.5 decided he wanted new wall stickers too and took off his Cars ones in favor of Marvel superheros. I nearly cried and my DH thought I was losing it.

Although I told him is was "Disney night" next weekend and we were doing "Cars" and he was excited, so at least he'll still humor me!

Ahh, yes. God bless dear Hollister and Aeropostale ... And good ol' Justice, too. My DD11 still likes Winnie the Pooh tee-shirts ... but I know she'd rather wear something from Aeropostale. These kids are getting older ... And they're taking me and my gray hair right along with them!!

My DS6 is no longer into cars either. They just sit. He is really into Legos and star wars now!!!

Our DD had a whole bucket of cars and watched the movie at least once a day while playing for hours with them. Then they sat in the closet for a while taking up space! So we handed them down to the little guy next door! Now his mother has to watch it over and over and play all day!
