I'm currently at the Baymax queue so I have time.

Today we made it super early to rope drop and walked through TSMM. Super easy.

Next our plan was to std by RNR coaster and TOT (separated as my younger daughter does not meet the height req. For RnR). My wife and older went to RnR as we went to ToT only to find it down with no time for it to be resolved (technical difficulties). When it finally got up and running the rest of my party joined us for a 25 min wait at 9:45.

We got to ride ToT and I went with my older DD to RnR to use the Rider Switch Pass we got earlier: Down! Technical difficulties.

Again, when it was on line again, later on, we went with all the held up guests, while DW and Younger DD went to Beauty and the Beast.

I've just gotten a text from DW telling me that it was cancelled mid-show due to technical difficulties.

Ufff. I need a break. I know I'm at Disney and should be enough to have a good time.

But I can't stand the idea that Disney is forcing us to be the ultimate planners when they can't keep the rides AND shows working properly.

The big problem is that rescheduling or changing plans on the go is almost impossible.

Of course they kicked them out of the theatre with no offer of a compensation fast pass or anything.

Well, this is our first day, I know it will improve but this is really frustrating.

Anyone else here today?

Mx

PS: I really fear Baymax will go flat on me!!! Lol!

I would go to Guest Relations, explain what has been happening to you, and ask if you could get a FP to return to Beauty and the Beast since it was cancelled mid-show and nothing was done. They should be able to give you that, or an anytime FP for something else, for all the technical difficulties you have encountered today.

Hope the day improves!

I think if Disney is pushing the all the pre-trip planning as a convenience, then they need to set the system up so that guests utilizing a FP+ can make appropriate changes on the fly when the attractions are not available during the scheduled FP+ time. Doesn't anyone in the board rooms of Disney play devil's advocate when they start coming up with these grandiose plans? If not, I'm available for a hefty consultation fee. ;)

When we were there over the summer, our FP changed to an "anytime" one if a ride (TT for example, due to rain) was down during our FP window. But if a ride or show goes down while you are on/in it, it seems lately they are not compensating for that with a return FP. I am not sure if it is the fact that the ride CMs cannot do it since they would have to do so electronically an it would be a nightmare to do it for everyone affected? Or are people just moving on with their day and not complaining? There should be some sort of recovery in place like the old paper anytime passes...

We had so many technical difficulties during our trip last week. We were on several rides that stopped and in line for rides that stopped. A Frozen show was cancelled. It became a joke to us of what would happen next. At least two rides a day broke down. We were never offered FP for all the waiting. The 7DMT line was over 2 hours when it broke down for an hour. Nothing was offered. It was simply stay in line or leave. Fantasmic was cancelled after repeated assurance all day by CMs that it would happen. I understand the weather and all that, but they shouldn't have everyone file into the bleachers for F! and wait only to cancel it. Again, no apologies or anything. This trip was the least magical of all our trips.

We were there last week to and I lost count of all the ride malfunctions to. It was really frustrating. Especially after a long wait in the lines before it even happened. With a 3 year old. Not fun!

Ok. Here's the update. Following the advice from preemiamama we went to guest relations. We explained everything that happened to us and they listened very carefully.

After we were done they did two things:

1) They issued a paper handwritten fast pass (which generated a copy for their records) to be presented at BATB for any of the 2 remaining shows.

2) They added to our account for the day 2 FPs+ for each member for ToT or/and RnR to be used at any time. We took fully advantage of those.

When we presented th FP at BATB gate they were not making any difference between FPs and non FPs. They must have seen our puzzled face because they transformed the in VIP seating!

So, it took some patience, but it finally paid off.

We had a great day, topped it off with Fantasmic and now, off to bed for some rest!

Tomorrow: AK!

Glad they helped you out! Hope things go better today at AK- and for the rest of your trip!

Our HS day last week was a complete bust. First, the sing along was cancelled (we had FP). Then TSMM was down (we had FP), then Fantasmic was cancelled (we had FP). I called customer service the next day because they had "given" us a FP to be used at any park on any ride for the next day. Well, we had our "down day" that day and were not going to any parks. So, guest relations changed the free FP to Wednesday, our MK day. We found out when we got there that this FP could be used for ANY thing -- even if there were no FP's left. So...... we walked in to see Elsa and Anna, using that FP, without waiting in the 120 minute line!!! I was still very frustrated at our HS day, but at least we got some kind of pay back. Check your mydisneyexperience to see if there is a extra fp listed at the very top!
