I want to take a moment and thank everyone of my fellow WISHers for being here and offering support and encouragement to me every step of the way of this journey. I still have approximately another nine months to go but I'm at approximately 59% of my goal and know I'll get to the finish line.
I have had days where I felt like I could soar above the clouds and nothing bad could touch me and I've had days when I have felt so low I thought I would never see the light of day again. Through it all, someone from this board has been there for me and I appreciate it so much!
When I first started South Beach on December 1, 2003, I expected to have some mild success but thought this attempt at dieting would fail like all the other attempts I have made in the past. This time was different and something in the back of mind knew it. A big part of my being able to be successful has been this board and each of you. What a great bunch of people you are. I don't know if it's feeling like I have my own private cheering section, being able to earn the beautiful clippies, the challenges or being able to keep a journal (or maybe some combination of all of these things) that helps keep me going but I never thought I'd be headed towards a year of this way of eating and exercising but here I am!
There have been tangible benefits as a result of my efforts: losing close to 80 pounds, going from a size 26 pants to fitting into my favorite pair of size 12 slacks, going from a size 9 to a size 7-1/2 shoe and losing 70+ inches; but the intangible ones are just as sweet: feeling like I can hold my head up high, knowing I have a place to come and express my triumphs and frustrations, having the stamina to work out 7 days per week and the list could go on and on.
I'll stop this before this gets any longer. I just wanted to say thanks to each of you for helping make this "diet" a way of life for me now.

You deserve to be where you are right now, you have put a lot of hard work into this, and I know that you'll get to where you want to be. Good luck and PD
**** for the rest of your journey!
