Today’s FedEx Frustration

Was expecting a package that required a signature today. When shipped it was expected by 6 pm today. As of today it changed to by 8 pm. 8 pm came and went, and when I checked a little after 9, it claimed a delivery was attempted at 8:47.

Of course that is not true. I assume either the driver is protecting themself or possibly the company too, since fedex was paid for a two day delivery (3 due to Sunday I suppose) and failed to do so.

I called FedEx and of course they will look into it, can’t give me a time tomorrow to expect it, because by now it is too late to do anything. The idea that they expect you to just make sure someone is around another entire day just boggles my mind.

I suppose I should report it to the company who shipped the item, in case they can get a refund on the failed timely delivery by FedEx?

Sounds super aggravating, recently I noticed that ALL delivery people have a tendency to mark a think as delivered as soon as it gets on the truck. I do try to be kind with them because I read so many stories about how awful these people get treated so the metrics must be demanding, they get 1 full day after it's reported delivered for me to complain so I'd give it until maybe 3 pm tomorrow to start the process for it being lost or stolen.

This has happened several times before, I contacted FedEx as you did and the place that shipped it out. I told them to file a claim with FedEx and keep me posted along the way but that I either needed a replacement item or my money back.
One time, I got it the very next day, first thing and then the second time, I got a new item sent to me (Via UPS instead) and then over a month later the original item arrived??!?!
The last time this happened, FedEx pretty much ignored me and I put it all on the winery that shipped it out and told them to please figure it out ASAP.

Good luck. We have had issues with UPS in the past but I must say FedEx was good today.

I recently switched to a mail order specialty pharmacy for my medication and the first shipment was delivered today. The pharmacy told me it required a signature and I wasn't real certain how that would work but they just delivered it without knocking or anything. Just left it on our front porch. So, thanks guys!!!

Well it CAN be good or bad to leave a signature required package without a signature. I was waiting for a wine shipment that required a signature. UPS left it out back in the sun on a 90 degree day without notifying me. Medications can also be affected by heat, and expensive electronics can be stolen.
