I had our toasting flutes made over at Arribas Bros. in DTD. I had a rose put on it, and our names. I didn't have a date partly because we didn't have a date at the time they were made. I didn't have anything engraved on the serving set.
We got both our flutes and cake server from a company on ebay. They have the same cinderella image. We had our names and date put on the server, then on the flutes we put one name on each flute.
I am getting our toasting flutes with a monogram (it's in my PJ, but here's a pic-
and I think we're getting our server set engraved....I don't have the pic yet, as it's not 100% decided, but it's the one where the server piece has the Mickey head engraved...and the names and date on the knife....
we had our toasting glasses engraved at Arribas Bros in DTD....my MIL gave us our serving set, but we didn't have it engraved...we want to use it in the future and didn't want 'wedding info' all over it lol :
I always like hearing how people do things differently because we all have our own individual perspectives and points of views Like OceanGdss mentioning she wanted to use her so didn't get it engraved since she would use it in the future. We have always used my parents serving set at family occasions from their wedding and its engraved. Growing up, I always liked seeing the names and dates on it because my mom would usually always share a story about her wedding whenever we used them, so that's why I wanted ours engraved so I could have those same type of memories
We had ours engraved with the name and the date. DFTW doesn't engrave the set, so I picked it up at our PS and took it to Things Remembered.
We had our glasses done at DTD Arribas Brothers. We just had our names on the glasses and the date on the back. It's a little hard to see in this shot, but you can at least see Kris on the Mickey glass.
Thank you all for your replies, ideas, and photo sharing....they are all beautiful! I absolutely fell in love with yours, Angela, where did you get that beautiful set?
Here are the ones I'm looking at, they are from the Disney classic collection. You can't see the details very well, but they have pumpkin carriages on the bottom of the flutes, and pumpkin carriage and castle on the serving set:
Our both our toasting goblets and carving set we had our names and date etched on them. We purchased our goblets at the glass shop on MainSt in DL and thus had them etched there. Our serving set was purchased and engraved at Things Remembered.
