I've seen photos showing toasters in 1-bedroom suites. But what about studios? Do studios have toasters? If not, why not? They're just as important as microwaves and fridges. Scratch that, make it *more* important! And a heck of a lot cheaper too!

We have stayed in a studio at BWV twice and never had a toaster. Both times I requested one and they brought it with no problem. I, too, don't understand why they're not "standard" for a studio.

My understanding is that toasters are standard in studios at OKW, but available by request at the other vacation homes.

Well...not more important...I have yet to see a toaster keep my beer cold! :D

I was at BWV in February in 2 different studios. I had a brand new toaster in both--without asking. (In one studio, the toaster simply appeared one day when I was at the parks. In the other, the toaster was in the room upon my arrival.)

Yes, OKW studios have both toasters and microwaves. Don't know about BWV.

We stayed in a studio at BWV in April and there was a toaster in the room. If not, just call down and ask for one.

We were in a WLV and at VB both studios last month and there were not only toasters in the room upon check in but the VWL also had a can opener, a corkscrew and a cute little plastic "silver ware" divider with our "fine silver" neatly filled inside. VB, that's another story. I don't recall a can opener or a corkscrew and there were no drawers in the inn room studio but I do remember a notice stating you would have to request dish soap, a dish towel and a sponge. For 1 night I didn't bother and made do without it but would have used it had it been there. I agree, a toaster is a must have. I still plan on a can opener as I don't trust that one still just yet, but I hope the trend continues. And what harm and overall long term cost would it be to put real silverware, plates and bowls in the studios. I bring plastic plates and bowls from home. We eat a LOT of sandwiches and canned soups and such and a glass bowl would be much better and safer but I don't want to risk the trip to get it there. That plastic and paperware must add up to a lot over time and I can't imagine it being more cost effective. Yes, they do not have dishwashers but I don't have a problem washing a few dishes.
