I do not recall who it was, or in what post I read this - but thanks for the tip! I ended up phoning Air Miles and asking as I never saw this as an option under Dream Rewards Hotel category.
Turns out, yes we can. At the moment there is a minimum of 2 nights required and OOP of $109 to go along with the air miles. However, a 1 night booking at RPR (for Sept 2012) was about $225. So, 2 nights for $109 instead plus 3,586 air miles. If we end up having extra air miles, I may do this.
