We really don't care about seeing it too much. Will crowds be crazy for the remainder of the year once it opens? Looks like crowd calendars are still showing slow times end of Aug/ beg of Sept. Do you think that is true? Or should we try to jam in a trip in May? Really hate being there when it is SUPER crowded.

Thanks!

I think after February it will be very crowded until star wars opens and then it will be nuts the rest of the year. Many people will go earlier in the year to avoid star wars but many more will go after it opens to see it. So just go whatever time works best for you. But hotels will probably be quite a bit less before star wars opens.

I think as soon as they announce the opening day of GE the parks will be packed. Packed in the Spring with people trying to avoid the Star Wars crowds and packed the next 3 years with people coming for Star Wars. I’d still angle for before it opens if you can. I do expect a lot of ride closures for refurbs between January and June though.

Check the AP Blockout Calendar for your prospective dates. The lower passes are unblocked at the end of Aug./early Sept. after having been blocked from DL (or both parks) all summer. Once that block lifts and the lower passholders are allowed into SWGE, the parks will be a zoo. Crowd calendars have no information from past years to predict this for 2019.
