I need some advice. My plan is to go to Vero Beach next year with DH, DS-19, and DD-17. We've been there before, but only overnight after our usual 11 days at WDW. Next year we want to spend the entire time there. We dreamed about Hawaii, but the cost is concerning me. Question is: would you fly into Orlando and then rent a car for the drive over or is there a closer airport? Our only issue is we REALLY hate driving into Chicago for either Ohare or Midway, so we've been using Rockford instead and flying into Sanford. I don't mind driving the last leg to/from Vero Beach if that will keep us out of Chicago. Let me know what you've done.

If you fly into Orlando airport it will be about 95 miles(1 hr 20 minutes) to the DVC Vero Beach resort. If you fly into Sanford add about another 35 miles(125 miles) on to your trip to Vero. :thumbsup2

We live in Vero now, we always use Orlando airport. It has has the most non-stop,cheapest, and most important Southwest has 3 non-stop daily(from Pittsburgh) into Orlando.

West Palm beach airport(PBI) is the same distance as Orlando. Melbourne is only 45 miles from Vero but has the least selection of airlines and prices to choose from.
