To Those With Expired Waitlists....

Never give up hope of getting what you're looking for!! Let me explain...We just got back from our 1st stay at AKV. We were originally booked for a concierge level studio for the 18th-22nd and a SV studio for the 22nd-27th. Around 4 months ago I decided that I'd really rather have a 1 BR SV for the 22nd-27th, so of course I had to waitlist, as nothing was open.

I checked online a thousand times a day hoping for the waitlist to come through, and it never did. At the 7 day point I started calling every day, still nothing. Finally we got down there, and on the 21st I decide to call again and give the 1 BR another shot. Well, lo and behold, the MS guy I spoke with was able to get us a 1 BR concierge for the 22nd & 23rd, and a SV 1 BR villa for the 24th, 25th, and 26th!! WOO HOO!!!

It was a little bit of a pain to switch rooms so much, so I don't think I'd do that again, but I was just so excited to actually get the 1 BR that I didn't care this time! And it was sooo worth it! The 1 BR's are gorgeous! Whoever it was on these boards that said once you have a 1 BR you never want to go back to a studio was definately talking to me!

Sorry for the long story, but I wanted those of you really hoping for a waitlist to come through to know that it CAN happen, even at the very last second!

Oh, Jambo! You have given me hope. I've been on a waitlist forever to change from a studio to a 1-bedroom at AKV. Only a week to go - maybe something will come through for us!

We have a 2 BR booked at SSR for our Oct. trip and are on the wait list for a 2BR at BCV. With the Food anb Wine Festival going on I'm not expecting BDV to come through, but I'm still hoping.
