to soon to book for March??

Hello to all. Im new at this board stuff.

I would like to give a shout out to Bama Ed. I enjoy your post. You are dead on about every thing. Really enjoy when you post a trip report. There was one time you posted a story about watching people backing in their trailer to the spot. How its always the DW in the back telling or yelling at the DH doing the backing. That is my DW and me to a T!!! I laugh all the time about that post. But you left one thing out, that when the trailer gets in the spot. IT's the KISS after thats makes it fun. LOL!!! So I see you and your family will be at the Fort in March, I hope I get to meet ya'll. Thanks, FSU ED:thumbsup2

Well Howdy FSU ED. We can always use more camping husbands and dads on the DIS Camping Board.

Wow, that "backing in" post was a long time ago. I'm surprised you remember it. I feel shame for writing it but I can't help myself. It's all I can do not to run out to the edge of the road with my folding chair so I can see better! :rotfl2:

Posting here isn't hard. You sound like a Fort veteran living as close as you do and coming to the Fort that often. Chime in when you want, correct me when I give a wrong answer, and help out folks if you know the answer. We've got a strong bunch of posters here who want to share their knowledge of the Fort. This ain't FaceBook either (this Ed don't do FB). I have to remind myself that posters with low post counts and recent join dates could be long-time lurkers and know a whole lot.

Your DW posted above so I won't do anything to upset peace in the family. I'll have to mind my P's and Q's.

We'll have to get a "Whose Gonna Be There in late March" thread going after New Years. I've already got you, me, and snowmedic down. Maybe we can round up some others.

Till then -

Bama Ed

PS - so far you make the 3rd "Ed" on the board with you, me, and a poster named "Cousin Ed C.". You know what they say - three 'eds are better than one! :lmao:

I would like to say thanks to all for the warm welcome. DW has been here for some while. But has not posted much on the camping board, mostly on the cruise boards.

Bama Ed, Yeah that backing in post was in the past. But every time we are there, and I put the truck in R. Then start moving back, I just smile. I have some great back ins, then some ones that are like OMG!!! We got Loop 600 once, the very last spot in the loop. Its a hard 45 degree, but till this day that is the one I'm most proud of. Also, it was DW back there guiding me in all the way. Plus, to add to the back in a car was waiting to leave. Can you say PRESSURE!!!! There was one time we get a spot in front of a comfort station with those wood rail fences in front. I could not get in. But in true camping spirt. A fellow camper came forward, asked if he could help. I told him the Truck was running. He put it right in there. He was a fireman from Detroit/ rancher great guy. That is one reason we love staying at the fort. Most people there are real, that is hard to come by sometimes. Camping people are a different breed.

Also, sounds good about the tread for March. When we are there, some nights its just nice to ride around the Fort on the golf cart thru the loops. Would be nice to stop by and meet folk. We have two trips plan later this year. Staying a long weekend in October & December. Doing some Trick or Treating and Love Christmas at the Fort.

One more thing, Bama Ed. Would love info on the person who makes the Musket Mickey Signs.

Thanks, FSU ED :thumbsup2

Thanks for this thread...it is also telling me no vacancies for May. I just planned this trip yesterday, looks like I better call and get booked just as soon as I can. That's really sad about the travel agency abuse.

I am not sure I am allowed to talk to FSU Ed as I am married to UGA Jeff lol.

Hello christina in wny, Sure we can talk. You see my DW knows I LOVE the Seminoles. But she also knows my next love is what ever team plays the gators that week!!!!!! LOL. Also, the Head coach of UGA has Seminoles blood running thru him. Plus I just love that DOG.LOL

Bama Ed, Got the info on Musket Mickey. Email has been sent, thanks.:thumbsup2:earsboy:
