To sleeve or not to sleeve?

Newbie here.

Do you all put your pages into sleeves? If you do, then how do you use your imbelishments that say you have to open or too bulky to sleeve?

Do you use the back of your pages: page 1, is also page 2, (front to back).

I put my pages in sleeves. As I look through the scrapbooks I just pull out the pages to look at opening embelishments. I do not use the same piece of cardstock for page 1 and page 2 but I do put them both in the same sleeve.

I always sleeve. With 2 kids I've found it's saved my scrapbook more than once.

I do not scrapbook the front and back of a single sheet of cardstock. I find I have had to move pages around before and it caused me problems, but it does make my scrapbooks thicker.

For embelishments that open I am very daring (or is that stupid) and exacto cut around them. I use clear mounting squares to sick the cut sleeve to the thing that opens. The page is still partly protected that way, but you can see everything.

My first two scrapbooks aren't sleeved. But everything else is.

I sometimes scrap both front and back of one sheet of cardstock. One of my albums is for our National Parks trips, and that album is very "templated". It is all organized by date, I mat all the photos on white paper, and then all the pages from a particular park visit are on the same color cardstock. So if I need 6 pages, I will front and back them. Saves cardstock, and I know I have no reason to want to move things in the future.

But day-to-day stuff, I usually want a different background, so it's easier to just put two sheets in a sleeve.

ALWAYS sleeve - I usually have to get my guests a bit before I can get them to be bored....errrr.. admire my work so i like to keep sticky fingers off! And the kids love to look as well.

Our stock in the UK is limited so we tend not to have bulky embellisments.

This is what I do as well. It has worked out well for me.

I always put them in a page protector. For things that have an interactive movement to them I'll eventually cut the protector. Right now they arent in their exact order. I move them around alot.

I always use protectors as well. Never know when those sticky fingers are going to want to grab an album and remember family fun. I don't use too many bulky embellishments either though.
