To Renew or Not to Renew…

We have Gold AP renewals that were activated as Sorcerer’s passes. They expire on day 5 of our Thanksgiving trip. Originally, we were not going to renew since we are going down to one trip a year. We planned to buy 2 day PHs for all of us and then to just get 5 day PHs for next November. None of these PHs would include the Sorcerer’s blockout dates. However, when I calculate the ticket cost based on current pricing, it looks like we would be spending $4227 for 4 of us (our oldest becomes a Disney adult in 2023). Clearly, it makes more sense to renew our Sorcerer’s passes at that price.

I don’t think my kids will care if we skip the parks those 3 blockout days but it might be nice to have the option to go in for a few hours, especially since we are meeting family down there this Thanksgiving. My question is: would you renew up to Incredipass (if we are allowed to) to have the option of heading to the parks for the extra 3 days when the Sorcerer’s pass would be blocked out in 2022?

If it were me, I would upgrade the pass to the Incredi pass unless they come back with a much higher price that makes it not worth it.

That’s kind of what I am thinking, as well. I really did not expect PHs to be so close in price to Incredipass, to be honest. And I am honestly shocked that a Sorcerer’s pass is cheaper than PHs for one trip a year. Maybe it just works out for us because of when our passes expire and because it’s Thanksgiving ticket pricing?
