Hi

We are off to DLP at the satart of October, Wednesday to Sunday. We have been a few times but I have never really planned as the trips have always been off season and midweek.

We are staying at the castle club so we will have our vip fastpass but should I have some sort of plan this time like saving shows and fastpass rides for the weekend? We also have the halloween party on the friday night. It will be me, dh, ds (4) and mil (71).

No plans to do any character greets in the parks as ds will only interact with characters if the come to see him :confused:so plenty of character dining.

Also we are there till about 7 on the Sunday night so any suggestions for Sunday lunch?

Thanks for any help or advice.

you may have to plan a bit for the Halloween shows, as sometimes these are only on certain midweek days at the start of Halloween season (and then every day at the weekend). We had a lovely quiet sunny time Weds - Friday evening including the first MNSSHP last year :goodvibes. We left on Saturday at noon, and it was manic - I think we only managed 2 rides (and both of those were Peter Pan!) as everything else was mobbed, including our normal fall-back rides of POTC and IASW.

Saturday and Sunday I'd say go for the Studios rides and shows as much as poss, and do everything in the main park with fastpass. Also do your main meals at lunchtime on Saturday and Sunday to escape the madness (we did the DLH character dance at 4pm on a weekend too, that was lovely and madness-free ;)).

If you fancy it, I'd recommend the Steakhouse in the Village Sunday brunch from 12noon to 3pm (early sitting is recommended) - by far the best buffet meal I've had anywhere :thumbsup2, and it wasn't busy when we were there.

Saturday I'd probably go for the Village too for somewhere to eat at lunchtime, as it won't be as busy as in the parks at meal times.

Wendy, don't know if you know but Inventions now do a Sunday Brunch with characters? I've always enjoyed going to the Sunday Brunch at the Steakhouse whenever I've been at Disney on a Sunday but next time I'm planning on going to the one at Inventions.

Thank you both for the advice.

Is the inventions one with Lilo and Stitch, saw some pictures on here a while back of that. We were thinking inventions on the Saturday night, though???:confused3

Always thought the steakhouse looked good but just never got round to it yet.

Not sure either what to do for dinner on the Friday as we have MNSSHP, maybe lunch somwhere good and a hot dog or similar at tea, any thoughts.

Thanks

we had a buffet lunch at the Agrabah Cafe at lunchtime on mnsshp day, then had counter service tea at Casey's Corner when we returned to the park for mnsshp :).
