to nap or not to nap, that is the question

thanks for the great suggestions everyone:grouphug:

Won't Friday be open later? (In the week in February that's showing on the calendar, the hours are 10 - 8 on Monday - Thursday, and then 9 - 11 on Friday.)

I'm an adult, but in our trips, we took mid-day breaks in summer and none in winter. Reasons we took breaks in summer were:
*Lack of sleep (with the goal being to stay from open until closing, we just can't get anything near8 hours of sleep when Disneyland is open from 8 AM - midnight!)
*Heat (it drained us)
*Crowds (I suppose some people thrive off of crowds but when there are too many people around I find it draining/tiring and like to get away)

In the winter, the hours were generally shorter, it was COLD, and the crowds were generally low, so we didn't take breaks. For myself, I'm not used to napping, so it was better to open up the parks and not take a break, even if we had to leave an hour or two before midnight, than it would have been to take a few hours out of the middle of the day.

You know your family and what they can handle, but given the short hours, more temperate weather, and probably smaller crowds, I don't think that it will be as necessary to take hotel breaks on Wednesday and Thursday as it would be in the summer.

(But I agree with PPs that if your kids can go swimming, there's an excellent chance they may enjoy that almost as much as Disneyland itself. :flower3: )
