Can someone explain the whole muling thing to me? I want one, but I kinda need to know how they work before I get one. I think I know, I am just not for sure. :sunny: Thanks to everyone that answers this!

basically you just put in a fake birthdate, email address and password, use all the codes, buy a bunch of stuff, then transfer it ot your main account

I started out with one character - now I have a main character & 4 mules. Gotta love those extra credits and rooms to connect with.

heres what i did (since you aksed)
i had made my charter when i went to disneyland not knowing the benefits to doing such. played and got addicted. i read in some posts about muleing, but i didn't really think about it.

then i was trying to convince a friend of mine to get an account but i told them i would sign them up with one the next time i went down to disneyland. so i just made an account for them, and an email for them, in a temporary way. this however after i set them up with accounts in disneyland, became one of my mules (and it's a boy lol!) so i put in all the codes and what not, and worked on getting double of everything so i coudl trade the secondary and so forth.

then when i went down to dineyland i made myslef an extra character using my birthdate and name, just a diffrent e-mail address. and once again i got all those cool benefits you get for registering at disneyland.

i set goals of how many credits i want each mule to have a week, and then i buy stuff for making rooms and extra costumes for friends and for trade and then exchange it all back with my main character (wawaaka). and i have tryed to get like the tent code twice so when i go down (ince with my mian and ince with a mule) i can take my brother who does not play and get an extra tent room!

next time i go down, i think i will make another mule. i like being able to get black mickey ears for trade since they are rare!

thats what i do. but you don;t have to use your birthday, if you make them young enough i have been told they don't need an e-mail address.

I don't know that its necessary to go to these lengths of deception. I have two mules and they both use my real name and birthdate (the same info I used for my main character). I did create new e-mail accounts for the mules (Yahoo and HotMail allow free accounts and many internet providers allow you to have more than one username on your account, so this can be done cost free.) Set up your new character the way you did your old.

The one hassle to consider is how you intend to get the stuff from your mule to YOU. I don't know about others, but on my computer, VMK refuses to allow me to log on two seperate accounts at the same time on the same computer. SO, I either have to log on from two seperate computers and walk back and forth between the two to make my mule "trade" with me, or you have to set up a third party trade with another player whom you trust.

The third party isn't a major hassle, but one word of advice is to write down what the heck it is you are trading before you start. It's not that your friends are dishonest, it's that sometimes they honestly forget what the heck you just gave them. (I know my friends and I do this.) It's tough to look back at those little inventory windows and all that stuff and try to remember what there didn't belong to you BEFORE the trade started!

I can log onto two characters at one time on the computer, but it is not an easy task. Usually I can't only get the two to work together just long enough to trade.

First, on your mule do whatever you need.. enter codes, earn credits from games, buy stuff, trade, etc. Then log totally off.

I log in my main person through vmk.com and use the Advanced Mode to select the place and instance I want. Then, using the link in the Players Guide, I log on to my "mule." Usually the screen will come up plain black or like frozen - this is when I hit refresh (F5) tons of times until I see the VMK symbol. After the "mule" is logged on I quickly go the the same place and instance I chose for my main person. Switch screens and have you main person initiate the trade. Switch screens and have your "mule" accept and start entering all of your items. Click accept, switch screens and click accept by your main person. Immediatly close the "mule" window when the trade is complete (this may save you from having to log on again - because it's guarenteed that having both screens up with eventually freeze the browser and you will get the "Not Responding" error).

Now - sometimes you freeze and get the "Not Responding" error before you get to do anything with them. Close out of all your browsers and repeat. This requires some patience and could be frustrating, but it's worth it for me!

i find using the full screen mode is the only way i can get firefox to work. so i have 2 "nedding" at once. one in IE and the other in firefox. :)

:sunny: Thanks everyone. My main question- So you have your mule ned, and you play right? You can't transfer credits, so what do you guys buy to trade and sell? Need some ideas for that. :sunny:

thank you!!!!!

I have only created a mule for the VMK secret santa. I wanted to gift my special friends but did not have enough credits so mule came in very handy.

You don't transfer credits to your main character, your mule just buys the stuff you were going to buy with your credits. You trade the items to your main character. To do this, you either have to login both at the same time (See the excellent link to the vmkforums above) or have a trusted person be the go between.
The only time this doesn't work is if you want to buy a room.
