This has been bugging me how big are the beds at all star music they claim four adults but unless they have two queens I don't see how that is possible

I agree with the pp. It's not out of the ordinary to claim that two doubles sleep 4 adults. Many hotels make that claim. However, I find doubles very uncomfortable for two adults and we are small'ish people. Which is why we don't stay in the value hotels. Bump up to a moderate and you don't have to worry about double beds ;-)

Like Sue mentions above me, Pop now has queen beds. You could switch your hotel stay to there instead. You just have to modify your reservation online and don't have to pay a deposit again. I personally could not sleep in such a small bed, let another with another person.

I don't think my mom is going to move us to one room at all star music at this point won't that cost money we already have two rooms there

My husband and I had a double for the first 2 years of our marriage. We saved up enough to upgrade to our current queen size after that. It was fine, but I like the extra space.

So two grown adults can fit on s double it well just be tight

ETA I think deep down my mom knew this before booking she just wanted each couple to have some privacy

Why not just a moderate room instead of two standard? Better theming at the hotel, more room, better food (at least some places), less money.

It's 2 full sized beds. No one says that those 4 adults will be comfortable.
We stayed at a non Disney hotel a couple of weeks ago. Myself, my son, and his friend... both 14. The room had 1 queen. I called down and the girl actually asked me if we could all fit there was no reason to change... haha not happening.

Absolutely 2 adults can fit on a double bed. My parents spent 50+ years sleeping in a double bed, and my DH and I have for nearly two decades now.

I think that's exactly what your mom was thinking -- and would be my thought as well. Whenever my husband and I traveled with my parents they got one room and we got another. It honestly had nothing to do with the size of the beds. We could conceivably have stayed in one hotel room, but that's a little too much together time with adult children and parents on vacation.

Though to your question about changing the reservation at this time... it would actually save money to switch from 2 rooms to 1. There would be the additional adult fee per night to put 4 adults in 1 room, but that won't be as much as the second room. I just don't recommend that option even though I'm pretty budget-conscious.

Enjoy your vacation!

I remember when the moderates had double beds. We had a family trip to POR where my parents were in one bed, DH and (8 months pregnant) me in another, and DD 2yo on the trundle. It wasn't the most comfortable, but it was fine for our trip. I recall speaking with a great aunt of mine about 10 years ago who gleefully told me that she and her husband of 60+ years had just upgraded to a king size bed from a double.

Besides, the hotel descriptions list the accommodations. Taken from the ASM room description:
"2 Double Beds. Sleeps up to 4 Adults"
