TKAM is my cousins favorite book too, so much so he named his daughter Scout. In many ways she is just like Scout so it was a good name choice for her.

For me - it all has to do with a personal connection. I can personally connect with the story - it has relevance in some way to my own life, and I learned a lot from it. It was beautifully written and is something I still read to this day. That's enough for me to put it in my top 5 list.
