Hiya Everybody! :wave2:

Let me begin by introducing myself. I am njprincess, a.k.a . Kathy from NJ and Trixie Pancake, Cub Reporter, as well as a Charter Member of the Pancake Sisters (for more on the Sisterhood of the Pancake, please see The Mystery of the Pancake Bunny) . I am a Disney veteran but only found the DISboards last June, when I was getting ready for the DVC Member Cruise. I had so much fun on that board and met so many incredible people that I'm now a little addicted. I'm currently posting on the Bash on the Boat (B.O.B) thread, since I will be joining that nutty crew on the October 24, 2009 Disney Magic Eastern Caribbean Cruise. I usually travel with my brother, Frank, who is a Disneyholic/DVC member and is kind enough to include me in his travels. It usually works out pretty well, as long as we are able to determine the exact mid point of our room and manage to stay on our own sides!

Since Frank had a bunch of 'use 'em or lose 'em' points this year, he decided to splurge on a Concierge room in the Atrium Club of the Contemporary :woohoo: from January 25 - 30th. Lucky me, I get a free ride :yay: . I figured the least I could do was attempt a Trip Report. :mic:

For this trip, even though we will be visiting the parks, we decided to focus more on activities and, of course, food. I will actually be arriving on January 24, since I was able to score a free plane ticket by coming down a day early. I will be staying at the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport on the 24th, so I thought I would throw in a little report on that hotel as lagniappe!

LAST MINUTE UPDATE!!! We will have a buddy traveling with us - Tinkerbell!!! :yay: She is from a nearly extinct breed of monkey, the Buildabearus Disneyus. She is very excited :yay:, as this will be her first trip outside of her native habitat! She is looking forward to seeing her ancestral home and tasting the legendary Dole Whip. Follow her adventures on The Travels of Tinkbell.

So here we go! Here's our itinerary:

Kathy Checks In - Hyatt Regency Orlando Airport
It's a Catholic Thing
To Infinity and the Top of The Contemporary!
'Ohana Character Breakfast - Should I feel guilty eating waffles shaped liked Mickey's head?
Magic Kingdom - It never gets old!

Wildlife Discovery Tour - A Concierge Perk

The Travels of Tinkerbell - Part 1 - My Story, My Trip to Orlando, The Hyatt, My 1st visit to the Magic Kingdom and 'Ohana Character Breakfast

Hiya Everybody! :wave:

My name is Tinkerbell!

As you will see, I am a monkey and I live with my brothers and sisters in Piscataway, NJ. Usually, I am flying with my brother Peter Pan.

Here are my other brothers and sisters:

Because I am flying all the time, I never get to go anywhere. Boy, was I excited when I found out that my Mommy said I could go with Aunt Kathy on her trip to Disney World!!! :yay:

Today I got to fly on an airplane (it's so much easier than the pixie dust and happy thoughts thing!). Here I am enjoying my juice in the Delta Crown Club (that's our plane in the background):

When we got to Atlanta and Aunt Kathy bought me ice cream:

Finally, we made it to the Hyatt in Orlando! Here I am testing out the bed:

And the couch:

Boy, I can't wait until tomorrow when we get to Disney World!!! :yay:

Hiya Everybody! :wave2:

Today is Sunday, Disney World Day!!! :yay:

Today, I got to ride the monorail for the very first time!

DSCN0974.jpg

I couldn't see too well, so Aunt Kathy moved me up here:

DSCN0973.jpg

Woo Hoo! :woohoo: That was MUCH better!

We ended up at the Magic Kingdom. Aunt Kathy had me in my traveling bag and a man in a blue shirt looked inside and said 'Oh look, it's a monkey! Then he tickled me!

We walked down Main Street and then Aunt Kathy bought me something called a Dole Whip. It was kind of like ice cream and I liked it a lot!

DSCN0977.jpg

We walked around for awhile and then we took the monorail thing back to the hotel. Oh, I almost forgot - Aunt Kathy bought me a new bracelet!

DSCN0980.jpg

I am having so much fun!!! :yay:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Oh boy, today I got to go to something called a 'character breakfast' at a place called the Polynesian. It is a very pretty place with lots of flowers and pretty music.
A nice lady gave me a flower necklace called a lei and then she took my picture with Aunt Kathy and Uncle Frank. (Aunt Kathy says she will post that when we get home because she has to scan it).
We got a table right next to the window!!! Here I am waiting for breakfast:
Then all these people came to visit our table!! I met Stitch, who gave me a kiss:
DSCN0991.jpg
And Stitch's friend Lilo (she was really nice):
Then I met MICKEY MOUSE!!!! The REAL Mickey Mouse!!! (Hey Brownie and Twinkles, na na, na na na!!!) In person!!! He gave me a kiss too!
DSCN0996.jpg
I even got to meet Mickey's dog Pluto!
I think this was the best day ever!!! :yay:
Wow, I filled up post! Here's the link to the next part: http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=29936058&postcount=31
My Tink, you come from a very large family!!! Can't wait to hear more about your trip with Aunt Kathy and Uncle Frank!!! :thumbsup2
The pics are nice as well!!! :thumbsup2
I'm subscribing to this thread to make it easier to find and follow.
I'm not a fellow cruiser or BOB board member, but I do work with Kathy and Tink's mom in NJ and am the Disney guy who doesn't have nearly as much Disney stuff decorating his office as either Kathy or Tink's mom.
Looking forward to a virtual visit, because my own countdown timer isn't moving fast enough to suit me!
