I am leaving this post as I wrote it just to make the thread clear to anyone reading after this but I am ediiting it to say here and now
THIS WAS A MISTAKE< AN ERROR. So please don't try to book this.

I had a package booked first with AAA for Port Orleans riverside Nov 14 - 20 of 07.
When the codes came out I called and saved about $375 but also had to take standard not water view room which I had.
OK fair enough but I figured I would keep looking for a water view to open.
current package is 6 night standard view 7 day park hopper no water parks, and dining plan for $1666.

So today I go to the Disneyworld.com site and enter the info for the fall special etc. for Port orleans riverside and it still comes up with standard only I go to the edit section on the side and for the heck of it check off the suite box. and do another search, it comes up not available at my resort but offers me, Da Dah, Coronado Springs, Water view, 6 night same seven day park hopper tickets AND dining plan same nights everything the same,
$1300.10
I tried this several times and it came up the same I talked to the online chat person she said go ahead and try it, I even called Disney travel they could not find it 1800 something was as close as they came, she said go ahead and try to book it and it probably would not go through,
so I got off phone went to the site again repeated what I had done and got the same deal, this time I booked it, and I have the confirmation # and printed out the confirmation which as clear as I can see is the same as I booked.

So what happens now? That seems like an incredible rate, will they honor it? I guess I should go back in and pay it in full?

What do you all think?

Pay it in full and dont say anything else about it.

It's a great rate, but not a crazy rate (like th 9 dollar ones a few years ago) that is obviously a computer mistake.

Heck yeah!! :thumbsup2

Sure would pay it off since they have loophole until package are paid in full.
Great for you. We love Cs and the foos is great. Never had anything bad there. Seems like you got your pixie dust before getting to MK.pixiedust:

When the Visa Code first came out someone mentioned that a CM told her there was an incredible CSR internet rate available for her time period. The person wasn't interested in CSR at all and didn't ask her to elaborate. Several of us on the Boards were interested, but none of the CMs knew what it was about. Maybe that's what you got. :confused3

They can cancel/modify your reservation if it was an error. Even if the people you spoke with said it was ok. I speak from experience booking the BWI "glitch/deal" of last year and I had paid in full. Just passing this info along - especially since you've posted on a board that Disney monitors. They could see this and do a search for any reservations matching yours.

Per the info I received in my confirmation:

Disney reserves the right to cancel or modify a room reservation (including after the room reservation has been confirmed) if the room reservation includes or resulted from a mistake or error of any kind, including but not limited to, a mistake or error in the rate, resort or room type, or where it appears that a guest has engaged in fraudulent or misleading activity in making the room reservation.

mickeythepooh didn't do anything wrong or mess with pricing. take the deal and pay for it in full. you should note the cm's name & date who you mentioned this to. for your records.
It's like if you find a cheap airfare ( really cheap ) if you buy the ticket its yours. It is the sellers fault that the internet offered the wrong price.
Good Luck & enjoy

I'm not saying the OP did anything wrong or messed with the price. I'm just saying that even if you pay in full, Disney has it in their terms to cancel or modify reservations booked online when the rate is in error. When you get your email confirmation it states this.

The OP asked what happens when you book a "too good to be true rate" - and I offered a possible outcome. Of course, they could honor it, but they are well within their terms to not do so.

Perhaps everyone will think I am nuts but I have decided to not follow up on this but to cancel it. I am sure it is a mistake and I would rather not face dealing with such a mistake when I arrive there. The resort is not my first choice so I will stick with the POR very good rate I have that does include the plan and is definately valid.
If this had been some special non published deal then I would have kept it, but after several more attempts to verify the facts I believe it is error plain and simple.

*** PLEASE NOTE ***

I just got off the phone with Disney. This is indeed a glitch! Even though you can make the reservation and the confirmation looks correct, in Disney's system the dining package DOES NOT show up!

I don't think you're nuts. If too many people book this and it is an error, Disney will contact people (especially if they're posting their reservation dates and details on who's on the reservation).

Anyway - I hope you have a great vacation!

Hey! I was under the impression that this was a valid discount offer ("internet special") going on for CSR! I will call to see if there is a problem with my reservation...

If you're having to select "suite" in the search to book a rate for a waterview non-suite room that is otherwise not available, they can consider that a glitch.

I'm really not trying to argue with anyone who is booking this, but offering some caution. Especially if you're finding out this info in a thread titled "too good to be true rate? what happens" and then you try booking it knowing you have to do something out of the ordinary to pull up the rate.

If Disney chooses to honor it, I'd get it in writing.

OH my now I feel bad, I did not post to get others to try to take advantage of what might be an error, and I made it clear, I thought, that I was not sure it was not one.
As it turns out it is an error, while it says food plan is included, when I called to verify the reservation they said it did not have the food plan attached, even though my printout said it was.
So I cancelled it.
I am sorry if I influenced anyone to try to do this.

Please don't feel bad. You asked an honest question.

What people choose to do with the info is on them, and IMO my words of caution should be strongly considered for those considering to duplicate what you found. Plus you posted your decision to cancel.

If you choose to, you can always edit your post to remove the details on how you found the rate.

I was not posting to make anyone think they are doing anything wrong, but to caution against believing that Disney will honor something just because it's paid in full.

:grouphug:

Please don't feel bad! It's my fault. I "skimmed" through this post and rushed to make a reservation before the quota was filled on the *offer*. Since I did not carefully read all of the posts, I mistakenly thought you had found out how to get the "internet special" that was going on for CSR, :rotfl: . Next time I'll be more careful :) .

Have a great day!

I also booked online and got an INCREDIBLE CSR rate. It basically amounted to a discounted room and what amounted to free dining. It was all there in black and white so I booked it. When I got my confirmation, the dining was NOT included. There is a definite bug in there somewhere.

I was a sad puppy :(

This is purely coincidence that this happened to me, too. I happened to read this thread after I tried to book this today. I don't want the OP to feel bad!

This happened to me as well and I also cancelled my reservation. I hadn't checked the "suites" box though but was merely searching and came up with a great rate at CBR that was lower than the other mod resorts. I thought perhaps it was a special rate that just popped up. When scrolling through the details before booking it said "with dining" but after I paid the deposit I didn't see "dining" on the confirmation. I called WDW and was told that no, the dining was not included and I could add it. Instead I cancelled to receive a refund of my deposit. I hope they're aware of the "glitch" as if I hadn't called and trusted my original print out I'd have arrived at CBR expecting to have the dining plan. Since it can't be added at resort check-in we'd have been out of luck. ---Kathy

I saw this post and thought there was a 'great deal' out there. I checked the dates and options for the package we already had booked and got a confirmed package that included dining, but when I booked the package, it did not include dining. So....I called WDW and spoke to someone in Guest Relations, explained the issue, and just asked, "What is my actual price?". I told her I had printed out the info and she asked me to fax it to her. I did and she ended up honoring the price saying that if they had it on the website and I had it in writing, they would honor it. So for our trip in October, MYW+D, 8-day hopper, POP preferred for 2 adults and one child for $1290...the package discount AND free dining. What I learned: always 'get it in writing', and never be afraid to speak with Guest Relations if the CM can't help you.
