Hi Guys,

We ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo :wizard: princess: are planing on going back to Universal and Islands in Nov. we are just going for the weekend, but wanted to take a day and and go to a different park. I ::MinnieMo wanted to go back to Disney but we have been there twice this year and my kids :wizard: princess: are Disney'd out (hard to believe, but true). My kids :wizard: princess: have never been to SeaWorld so that's the park that they chose to go to. Last time I ::MinnieMo went to SeaWorld I was 11 and all I remember is walking through the shark tunnel. My kids are 12 :: :wizard: and 8 years princess: . Do you think they will enjoy Sea World. What is there to do (shows/ rides)? Any information would be great.

My kids, now ages 16 and 12 love Seaworld. I believe the first time they went they were 4 and 8. We are going to Universal in October and are planning on going one day to Seaworld. We haven't been there in about 4 years and really want to see the shows. If you go, make sure you see the Clyde and Seamore show. It is hilarious. You must get there about 20 minutes early to see the "preshow". I'm not sure if we will be riding the thrill rides there. But, I understand they are very good. Like I said before, we love the shows. I think it is a great place to spend a day. :rotfl: ::yes::

Your kids will love Sea World, in fact after taking them they will probably want to go to sea world over disney during your future trips. Sea World is fantastic!. Our kids got disney'd out also, but the always wanted their annual passes to sea world and universal!

my kids are 14 and 9 and they love seaworld. When we were there in June we had a day left on parkhoppers and the 2nd day free from seaworld. There was no question, they wanted to go back to seaworld. We get there early so they can ride the rides with little or no wait, and then we go back and feed the dolphins and stingrays and work our way from there. My only suggestion is to take a little extra money to feed the dolphins and stingrays, it was well worth the $4 or $5 we paid for each of them to do it. They still talk about it. The shows are a lot of fun too!!

We went in July. My kids are 13,15,18 we all loved Sea World. It's a beautiful park. There's not alot of rides but they are really good! We were there nearly all day and couldn't see all of the shows. I knew my husband and I would like it but I was a little surprised how much the kids enjoyed it. I do wish there was a couple more rides though but we would go back in a heart beat!

At the age of 8, kids out grow Disney. That's when you move on to IOA/USF/SWF/BGT. Once the kids can make the height requirements for the big coasters at IOA, that's it, everything at Disney seems like a kiddie ride. Sure, it's fun to go back, but you only need to go every other year. I live in South Florida, our daughter is 14, and we only visit Disney every few years. In 2006 they'll have the new Everest coaster at AK, so that's a reason to visit. Otherwise, we do the other parks.

Here are my pages with on ride videos of the two major rides at SWF. Scroll down and you can view the Kracken and JTA video.

And this is my recent trip to SWF. Scroll down this page and you'll see pictures of the Blue Horizons show and people feeding the dolphins.

My kids could'nt imagine going to Orlando and not doing Seaworld.

Another vote for SeaWorld. My 7 and 9 year olds love it. As a matter of fact, when we recently moved from SW FL to TX the ONLY thing they were happy about concerning the move was that we now have SeaWorld right down the street. They even went to summer camp there and still haven't had enough.

Another thing to look into is backstage tours. They offer quite a few. They are relatively inexpensive. We went on one and went backstage to see the polar bears and penguins. We even got to pet a penguin. It was worth every penny plus some!

I'm staying at Pop Century, I'm not renting a car. What do you suggest the best way to get to Seaworld is? Cab or bus?

GO! there is so much to do. My 9 year old highlights were- Shamu show, Dolphin feeding area, string ray feeding( but was a bit nervous!). The park is lovely to walk around and we had a great full day and then went back for a 2nd go at Shamu evening show. We are going back next Aug and will def spend a full day here again. Best wishes Ruth
