To go or not to go with or without a code that is the question

Will you go to Disney in November or December without a code?

  • Will not go without a Disney discount code such as FD or 40% off resort room rate

  • Will go with the FD or 40% off resort room code

  • Will go with a lesser discount such as 20% off resort room rate

  • Will go without a discount code

Many of us are anxious about getting a December code or even a November one especially free dining. Some of us want the 40% code off resort rates. Either way will you go without a code?

For us, the answer is no. I wish I could say it doesn't matter, but it does.

So, what about you?

We are hoping to go in Aug 2010, but without some kind of discount I don't think we will be able to go. I would be great if Disney would offer the 4/3 deal again or maybe something better!

The second choice is really the same as the first choice. I guess I'm having a bad hair day.

We've only been to WDW one time without a code. the first time. We never pay full price for anything though. Always wait for a sale or discount.

I didn't answer the poll because we are undecided. If we get free dining, either pin code or Visa, we will go for sure. If not, we will probably wait until a deal comes along. I really hope we get a code because I REALLY want to see Disney in December!

It is turning into a family tradition to go during Thanksgiving week. Since we have been so many times we don't have to everything and we can do the parks in a leisurely manner. Each year we have gotten a great package discount and are hoping for at least this again. We are debating if we would take the free dining if offered.

I can go without free dining but no way in heck am I paying rack rates at Disney hotels. they are so not worth it even monorail line ones.

No, can't go without a code or discount of some kind. We were just there in May on the 4/7 deal but if there's something offered, either free dining from Visa or 40% room discount, we can't afford *not* to go again in Nov. or early Dec. *oh please oh please disney fairies send me a code a discount anything at all* ;)

we have gone a couple of times without a discount. but i think we used AAA which is 10% off. we are actually trying to see if we can go this year , but i think we missed the other discounts. my dh wants to go around sept. or oct

The answer is no for us as well. We are only able to go as often as we do because of the discounts.

Looks like we will be there during the same week--with or without a discount! I had a trip planned in July with the 4/3 deal (staying at WL :cool1:), but had to change dates due to new job and DS starting a new school (he had to take a Freshman Course starting July 22 so he could take honors classes this fall). So no July trip, no WL!! I moved our trip to Thanksgiving week--no pin, no discount, but hoping for Visa code. Since we changed dates, had to book POP for same price :scared:.

We have never been during this week. Hopefully it won't be toooo crowded. How's your experience been this week? I've heard fairly slow until Wednesday evening, CROWDED until Sunday. Is this accurate?

We are going no matter what. BUT.. without a code our spending money will be less. Last year we went during the Oct- Dec Magic your way discount and we saved $600 on our room. This year we are staying at a value instead of a deluxe and saving $1500- compared to what we spent last year! our trip for December 12 -18 : 6 nights at a value, regulaqr DDP, 6 day park tickets, airfare for 2 adults & 1 child $2500.

We are a large family and we don't pay full price for anything if we can find a coupon/code/bargain somewhere. Sadly Disney is no different in our budget....we have to get a discount, we can't afford rack rates and full price dining plans. We used to stay offsite because of this, and we'll go back to that if we have to....but I'd rather stay onsite with a code (even though it's still more than offsite usually). The convenience of the buses and eating onsite make it worth it for us to pay a bit more than offsite. If no code comes out though, the choice of not going at all and staying offsite.....I think we'd end up staying offsite again.

We may be able to go in Nov if we get a 40% off pin code? But fd would seal the deal. Would save us $140 per day. That would be awesome. I wish I could use the fd for Sept. we just don't have the funds right now.

I keep checking my emails- no luck. If we don't get a nice discount, this would be the first year in 12 that we haven't gone to disney at least once a year. I can't stand the thought of not going. :guilty: Sept will be 1 year since our last visit. It's killing me. For the last few years we had been going 2 times. Money is tight right now. :scared:

We went on the 4/3 deal this past March. I'm hoping for something good this coming March. I have no idea what the "usual" codes are for this time of year.

:snooty:we will only go w/ FD code or 40%

we visited in February, so this would be a second trip for my girls and i - i have promised my Sister i would take her to WDW for the first time and Thanksgiving is the time. I have 4 days off and that is the only time we can go. ( someone else has vacation at Christmas time this year time)
we are going to DL December of 2010, so next year that is our one and only vacation ( across the county for a week is going to cost big $$!)
it must cost me a max of $1,500 OOT for this trip, so FD is a must. - it's the deal maker or breaker :snooty:
